Lindy, my dh thinks I'm even crazier than usual because of you. After seeing your bee pendant, I thought how cool it would be to put any insect under resin. Then as we were leaving our investment advisor's office today, I saw a dead cicada in perfect condition. Now I just need to find something the right size to use as a mold.  Grin

Love the Double Celtic Twist handle, but then I adore most things Celtic.

Yah, Tolkien! That book cover is gorgeous.

Cut some more pixel quilt block pieces today, so I may be making coasters soon, too. Lots of leftover strips so was even thinking about placemats, mug rugs, journal covers, or pouches.

uuuuhhhh.  I was walking across the parking lot, and noticed some of the mulch on the sidewalk looked like twisted trees.  Then I picked them up and brought them home in a zippy.  And last week I was in Target and picked up a wire basket and flipped it upside-down, and stepped back to see what it looked like.  I know the woman next to me raised an mental eyebrow before pushing off with her buggy.

Don't you just love fellow Crafster-ites? Makes us all seem so normal...

Not making good progress so far, still really frustrated with the one thing I was working on... this was not the weekend for crafting, though.  Sometimes, you just have to step away...

oh Smeddley - Gah, does that ever suck! It's so frustrating, and then I get frustrated by my frustration!!  I second the stepping away.  Take a beat, and let your creative mind marinate.  You are super talented and I know you will find your way!

On another note, I finished 1 item completely, YAY! and have 2.5 items in the cooker!  I completed my primary list and convinced myself it's best to finish all of them first, before going off into crazytown to make whatever I like...

I made the other dish towel for my friend yesterday afternoon

I also made this pendant over the weekend. We sometimes find dead bees in our pool and I fished this poor guy out and preserved him.

Lindyv321!  That dish towel is fricken hysterical!  Stellar!

Pros & Cons of trying new things: Yay! Something new! So exciting!

But then, you never know what you don't know. Something simple can be complicated and tank. Boo! Giving my noodle a rest and moving on to a different project while I work out the kinks on the first. That little guy is gonna do what I want!

Craft away, peeps!

The coloring around his eye, the curve in his back, and his rump speckling gives me MAJOR cute aggression!

And his wild mane and tail? Bomb-diggety, for serious.

This looks incredibly tasty! I'm going to look for recipes sans coconut, but thanks for sharing yours! I like the idea of making it the night before so I'm ready to roll in the morning.

Huzzah!

I've started on two items, but it's slow going as both are time consuming. Othewise, they are coming together well. Yippee!

Also, glitter is the devil. Good luck to those who brave the waters!

Thank you alwaysinmyroom, BeaG, and kbrison.  Wink

I will look at the monthly dotee, maybe it would be fun for my second swap, but I already have a first one planned.  Tongue Also, what is a dotee?

I'm also adding one more project pic...I don't know where else to put them lol But behold Ursula, my favorite Disney villain.  Grin

mandit1990! I love the movement you show with the contrast stitching in her hair and dress! Your eyes are also lovely - they are usually the biggest challenge.

Well done!

I have a list of things I want to make made just waiting to hear back from my partner on a few things before I order some things

LINDY.V.321.  (each period is emphasis).  I am so embarassed!  Please forgive me!  I just answered your message - OPERATOR ERROR!!

I have a main list.  But also a "backup" list - which is really sidebar items.  And then I have a "CRAZY" list, which consists of all half-formed ideas, all in materials/mediums & styles which are not natural to me.  I have promised myself to make 1, if not 2, from this list. <- This is the list that excites me the most.

But today the Crafting Gods have smiled down upon me!!  They want this to happen!  I found something I have been looking for since partners were assigned.  I couldn't believe it, so I called the shop FIRST to confirm the tiny jpg image is in fact what I will be receiving, and she told me it was true!  I even made her describe it for me, and then I started chattering and spouting hysterical, bubbling, laughter.  So  <BOOM!>  <PUNCH!>  <SUPER-KICK!>  TAKE THAT CRAFTY LIST!!

(sorry. but i'm very happy about the situation)
