21  WANTED:Sirus Black- bleach stenciled T in Stenciling: Completed Projects by RockstarMom on: April 15, 2008 01:53:56 PM
I made this for the "Because We Miss HP Swap". I really love the way it turned out. I used freezer paper for the stencil and ironed it on. That stencil took FOR-EV-AH to cut and was not easy to iron on due to many itty-bitty pieces with fragile bridges to hold them together. Though there was something quite satisfying about peeling off drenching wet freezer paper and seeing it still black underneath.  Cheesy

It's still wet in my photo, but you can see it a bit better in this thread:

24  Danican the Baby Dragon in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by RockstarMom on: February 28, 2008 05:30:51 PM
I made this for Tanza in the FOC Secret swap. (See Gallery Here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=224037.300 )She loves dragons and so I made her this one.  Grin He had no name when I sent him to her, but he decided after crossing the Pacific Ocean that his name was Danican and that the chocolates I sent her smelled SO GOOD that he would snitch a few! He wants to learn to practice magic and enjoys surfing the web- mostly Craftster!

While he was at my house, I gave him a Royal Photo Shoot and here he is!

He was my 1st ever COMPLETED stuffie! I am so proud of him! Grin

27  Peppermint Mocha Poppet in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by RockstarMom on: February 25, 2008 04:00:51 PM
Here is Peppermint Mocha!

Sorry for so few pics, my old camera went MIA and then I only remembered to take a few moer with the new one before I sent her to her new home.

I made her for the I <3 coffee/tea/cocoa swap and I can post her now that my partner has received. WOOHOO!!!  Grin

Her skin is a very pale pink microfleece. I dreaded the front of her hair (just the front and braided in some polymer clay coffee bean beads and peppermint beads I made. Her hair I made in "highlighted strips" with some pretty leftover yarn I had from YEARS ago. She's dressed in a fluffy white crocheted Jackie-O style sweater dress (sorry, no pattern...can't find it) closed with pink ribbons.
Colin was QUITE UPSET to see her go... but I'm glad. He would have probably stolen her innocence had she stuck around much longer... that naughty boy!
So what do you think?

Superhooker- you got a GREAT package from Ghilie! Adorable Poppet and clothes, I love the magnets!

I received an awesome package from Tanza! Thank you!!!!

A beautiful embroidered tea towel. I LOVE IT! The knot that is embroidered on it is gorgeous!

Two very lovely embroidered Celtic star knot pot holders. They are made from the same navy corduroy as the top of the tea towel.

2 super soft turtles that my kids immediately confiscated from me and took in and out of their shells. (I had to post many pics of this) Right now they are chilling on the shelf with the other turtles. Tongue
I have named the big one Lenny and the little one Squiggy. Cheesy

My love..... Harry....  Kiss I shall use him as a bookmark because I am bringing my HP&SS on the airplane with me when I fly out!

The whole lot! (she gave me an extra turtle sticker which I will let my DD have)  Grin Thanks Tanza! I love it all!

I'm such a tease.  Grin

30  Georgianna's Travel Bag (Camera Case) in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by RockstarMom on: February 18, 2008 11:33:12 PM
Well, Georgianna is my new camera. I love her.

My kids lost my lil Cannon PowerShot about 2 weeks ago (my friend keeps telling me the toddler probably threw it in the garbage) and so today I went out and got a super-SWEET deal on a Nikon D40X DSLR. Oh man..... I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! (thanks kids!)

Now I am going on vacation for a few weeks to visit family and I had to make a bag to put her in. I am refusing to buy a case. I will make a better case at another date, but I am leaving in less than 2 weeks.

I am going to make separate padded bags to put the camera, lens and other pieces into, but so far this is what I have. I am not too fond of my stitches, but it'll do for now. I'll just call it my prototype. Cheesy

I originally bought each fabric for a different project and today thought, Hmmm... those two would look really good together! I did royally screw up one and then this one was Round 2 of making the camera bag.

I used elastic around the top of the front and sides. The handle is reinforced and actually has one of those.... oh geez, what the heck do you call those straps that are woven plastic? I can't think of the name! AGH! It was right there too! Anyway, it's just a tube of fabric I made and threaded the ugly strap through the reinforced it to the side of the bag.

What do you think?

There was another pic of a side view, but for some reason I can't load it.  Huh
