1  Re: Vintage Swap: Movie Edition GALLERY! in The Swap Gallery by Agulauna on: June 08, 2010 08:16:30 PM
Madmommymia's package came for me in the mail today! I opened it up to find this box which is perfect for all my stuff this summer when I go to art school! And I love the quote.

next was a jar with pictures of the lovely Miss Hepburn and a quote

and a sketchbook! And fridge poetry magnets made up of movie quotes

the magnets are amazing. My sister and I got to work on making sentences with them immediately.

Thank you so much!

Hello! If you have some record dust covers lying around and a cardboard box, then this is the project for you!

I made two of these a year ago and just finally got around to taking pictures of the finished project. Okay here we go:

You'll need

and

and

then all you do is lay them out in a colorful way, glue, and poke a hole in the back for hanging up!

voila!

you can also...
buy a puzzle, paint the back of it black, & glue the pieces to the front

or paint a stool!

just be sure to cover over the paint in some sort of sealer. I didn't and now her teeth and nose are fading away.

I just received my package from sarahj2001!

I wanted to learn how to make things with resin and she sent me a kit complete with step by step instructions she made.

Along with that were two pretty sparkly switch-plate covers that were immediately put to use.  Cheesy

And two bowls, one made from a record and the other, from fair tickets (which is her favorite bowl she has made). I really like that idea!

For the other favorites she made a scrap holder/ pincushion. This will be very helpful to me, as I previously made a pile of scraps, broken needles, and thread on the table I sew on, which is the table we eat off of also. My mom will be happy! Lol.

Other favorites:

And an adorable aviator cap from my wists. I love it so much.

Thank you sarahj!

Favorite Craft- Resin pendants. Two have plants in them and the other has sprinkles

And a picture of it all

Here are the beautiful hair doodads I got from jca1982:
First are two felt hair clips

a headband with a button and feather

and another headband. She covered it in masking tape, painted it with watercolors and then sealed it. So creative!

Thank you!

I received my hair doodads from aquasnow and panda. Aquasnow made me a lovely hat out of great yarn:

And panda made some beautiful hair clips. One pair is red with a fabric rosette and the other is pink and beaded:

She also made a headband with a pink fabric flower:

Thank you aquasnow and panda! Your craftsmanship is wonderful!

10  Leotard Dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Agulauna on: September 04, 2009 06:42:40 PM
I made this dress using an old leotard that someone gave to me and a dress I got at a vintage/thrift store in Long Beach. They were doing a once a year sale or something and in the courtyard behind the store there was this gigantic pile of clothing that people were literally climbing in to get the clothes which were priced $1-5. This was about a year and a half ago, when I was new to the world of darts so in a sad attempt to alter the dress I made it way to low cut, but here it is now:
