1  Bootees, mittens and foliage! Oh my! in Knitting: Completed Projects by siggie on: January 07, 2008 12:04:12 PM
I haven't been very active lately! One of my new year resolutions! I don't have a digital camera, but I've been home over break and my parents do. So here's a few of the things I've made over break (rather, the things I remembered to photograph before giving them away).

Saartjes bootees

First time using a pattern. These and the mittens were made for my newborn baby nephew. Smiley

Thumbless mittens.
I just CO 8x4, I think.

I also kind-of-sort-of knit Foliage (from knitty), but the Alpaca yarn doesn't really show the texture well, and I blocked it on a dinner plate which gave it a beret-like shape? I gave it to my mom though, and she loves it.

It was such a learning project. I've never touched anything like lace, but I've just cast on for Liesel!
It's kind of cool because I'm just now starting to understand simple lace and it's awesommmmeeee. So much fun!
