201  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Re: Nursing Cover Up Tutorial *edited to add diagram* on: August 14, 2007 11:29:14 AM
This is a great idea.  I'm expecting my first in Oct and these would be wonderful.  I definitely think its a good idea to have the strap be adjustable somehow depending on how/where you are sitting and what you are wearing.  Great!
202  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Re: Baby Shower BBQ Invites Help on: August 14, 2007 11:21:47 AM
We just did this at the end of July.  We had a "Texas Style Baby Shower"  I did red, white, and blue invitations but put little baby footprints on the inside.

We simply said "Is it a bbq or a baby shower?"  "its BOTH"

Join us for an afternoon of great food and lots of fun at a coed baby shower to celebrate..."

It can definitely be done.  Just don't make it too frilly and if you mention food, the guys will be all over it! Smiley

It reminds me of those glo worms it wouldn't be hard at all.

Yes a glo worm.  That is exactly what we are thinking.  I have a mint green sleeper sack that I am thinking I will use as a base and then sew the individual ring sections to it, filled with stuffing.  I only want the puffiness on one side so she will still be comfy in lying down.  Thanks for the picture that is a big help.

Thank you all so much for the great ideas.  I've taken a list to dh and he's decided he wants her to be a caterpillar or basically a worm because she is always squirming around right now! lol

So now to just figure out how to do that without a pattern.

I have been lurking on this site and have to say I LOVE IT!  So of course I had to join.

I need some help coming up with costume ideas for an infant.  A very small one.  I am due with my first child in Oct (around the 18th) so she will be very small.  I know people probably think its silly but it will be her first halloween so I want to be able to make or buy her a costume and take her pics in it.

Please help.  Nothing in the store is small enough for a newborn.  Thank you soooo much.
