Long time lurker of craftster, but just started posting things now.

Finished this last year for a wedding that we were going to.  The day of the wedding was a million degrees but I still wore it! Took me three months - there was no way i wasn't going to wear it!

3  Clutch Bag for my sister in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by lavenderlynn on: February 21, 2009 06:01:34 PM
I made this last summer too.  It's from Amy Butlers Stash & Dash Bag Pattern. Seen here: http://www.amybutlerdesign.com/products/patterns_display.php?id=29

My sister said she was wearing an orange and black dress, and when I saw this fabric in my stash, knew that it would be perfect, I wish I actually had a picture of her with it in the dress, because you'd think it was made from the same fabric it matched so perfectly!!

Updating with pictures now that I can post them!

4  Bella Bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by lavenderlynn on: February 21, 2009 05:53:44 PM
Made this for my cousin in September for her birthday (I owed her a bag for a very long time)

Made up the pattern as I went, based on several other patterns and tutorials that I have seen.  It has a front pocket for keys/ phone, as well as an inside pocket.  I used bias tape around the front pocket ends, and it turned out so well - i was seriously very happy with it.  It also has a snap closure and a special "made by tracey" button - which is what i'm planning on using instead of making labels.

Let me know your thoughts.
Updated to show pics now that i can post!

5  Pleated Clutch in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by lavenderlynn on: February 21, 2009 05:48:18 PM
I made this last summer for a few weddings we had.  I found a purple dress to match a shall I made, and then went a step further and made this bag to carry with me.  It was such a hit! Everyone just loved it!

I made it from this tute: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=240105.0

*UPDATED TO SHOW PICS NOW THAT I CAN POST*

6  Duffle bag for weekend trips in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by lavenderlynn on: February 21, 2009 03:46:01 PM
Okay, i've been a long *very long* time lurker on the crafters site, but I think this might be my first post.  I'm hoping I can upload some pics (first figure it out, then get them to appear!).  Okay, I can't actually post photos - as you know, not until i've posted 10 times.

I made this last year from this tutorial: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=42927.0

I would have liked to use a stiffer interfacing so that it stood up better, but its huge and works well. For these pictures, its stuffed with a big comforter to keep it up right - also shows how big it is!

YIPPEE!  UPDATED TO SHOW PIC'S NOW THAT I CAN POST THEM!

Hope you enjoy Smiley
