11  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Ideas for a PenPal on: July 20, 2005 09:52:52 AM
Hi!

I just got a new penpal, and I need some ideas of easy stuff to make to send her.  I had some ideas, but a couple fell through, as I have limited funds, so I need a couple more.  What have you guys sent in the past, or do you have any ideas?

Thanks Smiley

I have used iron-ons for years, and they normally turn out well.  Recently, I bought a pack of Avery transfers, like I usually do, and I got a couple of tshirts in a package from Family Dollar, which I usually don't.  There's a new one in our tiny town. Anyhow,  I washed/dried the shirts, then put the transfer on.  I let it cool for a while, then put it in the washing machine/dryer so I could wear it.

When I took it out of the washing machine, the iron-on image was DESTROYED!!!!  I can wear the shirt to bed, so its not a total loss, but man, it looks like a hurricane threw up on it.  Maybe it's because of the cheap t-shirts?  Maybe the cruddy material didn't hold the iron-on?

Any thoughts on this?

Nice!  I collect buttons, so pretty much anything with buttons I automatically love.

My fiance did something like that with the clip frames, and he used some blue gummy looking tack stuff to stick the tickets on.  That boy has TWO frames full and still has a bunch left over!!!  Jeez.

I kinda like the wedge in the middle.  It reminds me of Irregular Choice shoes.

Is there some sort of sole?

Those are swell!  I have a pair of shoes that are kinda messed up on the top, so maybe I'll try this.

You look kind of like a friend of mine in your avatar.  Cute!!
