I just placed some thumbtacks around a few of the branches, and then wrapped them with plastic black hair elastics to hold it in place and voila!
2  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / cheap new floor for my bathroom on: July 29, 2008 07:29:21 PM
Right, so I kind of live in a dump. I'm okay with this, because I'm a student and my apartment location is awesome. My landlady is super-cool, but the building I live in is really old and in need of many updates. My bathroom floor appears to be rotting, it's totally gross.

So, I went to Dollarama and bought some vinyl adhesive back tiles (three for a dollar). I didn't want to stick them directly to the floor, since I don't own the place and it isn't exactly a permanent fix. So I bought a plastic table cloth, flattened and taped it to the rotting floor, and then stuck the vinyl on top of that. You can lift it up at any edge, but strategically-placed bath mats make it look like the real thing!

I forgot to take a really good before picture, but here's an idea of what it was like:

And here it is now:

Now, if I could only get rid of the awful pink tile on the wall.

I love your dress and it looks like it fits you perfectly!

By the way, I couldn't help but notice how your shelves are all color coded....is that you being well-organized, or?  I guess I'm jealous of how neat it looks!

hehe, thanks. and yes, my shelves are colour-coded -- an interior design post is forthcoming, haha.

I made this dress for a wedding I'm attending in two weeks. I had a dress in mind for a long time, and since I couldn't find what I wanted, I had to make it. Smiley I used Simplicity 4070.

It still needs a final press.

And these are the shoes I'll probably wear:

Let me know what you think. Personally, I think it's a little plain, I need some suggestions as to what I can do to jazz this baby up! Thanks gang!

My crafting area is just a corner of the TV room in the basement.

It was really clean that night, so I had to take a picture.
