I'm MissKnitty on there, too - figured I'd keep it simple! Wink

Haha - this is awesome!
14  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: New vogue knitting is out on: October 18, 2007 03:57:41 PM
See? This is why their website issues are starting to annoy me - all the pictured back issue knits was supposed to be available FREE on their site (there were a few I desperatley wanted), but you obviously can't get to them as long as it's down. Anyone have an inside source as to why it's taking so long? Sigh...

It's awesome! This is on my "wish to knit" list... Wink

17  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Fair Isle and intarsia... on: October 17, 2007 06:24:57 PM
I believe the difference is (but I may also be wrong) that fairisle is stranding (carrying your yarn with as you knit - mostly knit in the round), while intarsia is picking up and dropping secondary colors (not stranding, and mostly knit flat). Did that make any sense? Wink
18  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Short rows/interpreting pattern help on: October 17, 2007 06:22:16 PM
I'm not sure this is the correct answer, but when I've done mine (mainly bust shaping), I've done one boob at a time, so to speak. First I do the wraps for one shape, and then knit across and do the other. Am I even explaining that right? Smiley
19  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Short rows/interpreting pattern help on: October 17, 2007 04:31:35 PM
This is a doozy - I first encountered short rows in the Sahara pattern - and freaked OUT! Wink Go to knittinghelp.com, because you can SEE it done, which makes it a lot easier. Hold on, let me get you the link...(scroll down). Nothing except that video and my LYS owner made me "get" short rows! Smiley

Ok, I'm on the home run now...about to start the bottom ribbing (in lieu of moss st). So, if I don't spend too much time in front of this screen, I might finish tonight. Yay!
