I also received some BEAUTIFUL coasters and trivets from Mimiw.  I don't know much about fabric, but I believe these are batiks and the are lovely.  The trivets have heat resistant batting!!!

To better see the fabrics

Thanks so much, I really do love them.  They are almost too pretty to set things on, but since I don't want to buy new tables anytime soon I will use them   Cheesy

43  1up scarf in Crochet: Completed Projects by summertimerolls on: August 05, 2008 06:49:50 PM
I made this for the Ongoing wish swap.  I bought the pattern on etsy, although I thought I could figure it out myself, I try and support craftsters when I can.

It was pretty easy, but the dots took a while to sew on.

It was fun and I plan on making my kids some of the other ones listed on her site.  Thanks for looking.

I got my package from Mamaedgar yesterday.  I stayed up last night playing with it.  She claimed me for a stamp making kit which was something I really wanted!
Thanks so much, I loved it and it was a great starter kit.

She also sent me two stamps she had carved herself.

Here's the loot:

These are little stamps I tried myself last night.  I had an eraser I used b/c I didn't want to cut up the speedball stuff right away.

Yeah, I'm the first to post.  Mandylikespie and I both received our packages today!  She did a great job on mine, she made me a little stuffie tree, sorta patterned after a quilling piece I had done.  It has already found a home in my craftroom!  The stitching is great and I just love it, it is very me.

Yesterday I received from Lunanne!!!  She made me a very cute mosaic box...with little paper tiles.  I'm sure this will hold some of my 'to go' crafts.  I usually put things in plastic containers and throw them in a bag, now I have a cute little box to use.  She also sent 2 reusable grocery bags...big ones.  Very cool!  My collection of bags is really getting up there.  I go to the grocery about once a week, and we buy a lot of stuff, so the more bags I have the less of theirs I have to use!
Thanks so much!

This is a close up of the fabric...so cute!

47  thinking about selling-need help in Get Product and Website Opinions by summertimerolls on: July 23, 2008 07:19:38 AM
I've never thought of selling my stuff before, but I've had a lot of request for one type of particular item I can make, and I was wondering....what would you pay/sell/price these for?

It's in a 5.5in sq. shadow box frame.
There is quilling ( cherry blossoms and snails)
Hand painted watercolor backgrounds
Sculpey-  trunk, rocks

I'm just wondering if this is something I could sell.

48  Why aren't there any resin post? in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by summertimerolls on: July 13, 2008 10:23:28 PM
Ha ha...There are so many of us new to resin and I think it is because of I SEW CUTE's tute, at least it is for me. THANK YOU I SEW CUTE So here are some of mine...not my first, most of those aren't worth sharing, but here are some I really liked.  Lots of pics, hope you don't mind.  I'm going to start with my most favorite of all.

I love quilling and I thought, hey what would happen?    I love this piece. I had an extra quilled mushroom laying around, added a little silver glitter and pow GOODNESS happened.  I have no idea what I'm going to do with it though.

Google eyes.  Lost of bubbles but funny.

A quilled rose.

Darn bubbles!  But I still like.

Worry baby.  Kinda bothers me she's trapped though.

Thanks for looking.  If you haven't tried resin, try it...it is fun and addicting. Oh, I used easy cast and apparently the ONE mold tray everyone has!

49  Re: Ongoing Wish Swap Round 36 Discussion in New Swap Theme Ideas by summertimerolls on: July 09, 2008 06:04:47 PM
kaymadben,
Well, these swaps are a lot of fun...they go in spurts.  Sometimes I've checked the list and then an hour later 12 people have claimed and been claimed.  It just depends.  Some people have more specific stuff on their list and it takes a special person to claim, so that will slow it down a little.  And, yes, I've gotten my sewing machine out (it is a Brother from walmart) and made a bag.  I love the idea of the reusable grocery bags so I tried to make one.  It turned out acceptable with no major issues.  I'm going to make a few more before I tackle the dresses you sent patterns for, but I will make one here soon!
Great to see you in this swap...people will love your stuff...I'm going to link to the bag you sent me, I bet you get a lot of request for it!
So, as you just read Kaymadben made a very cute owl bag for a different swap and I was the lucky recipient.

50  Quilled snails in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by summertimerolls on: July 04, 2008 07:41:00 PM
Made for OWS 35, something snailish was requested.  This is what I came up with.  Snails and one cattail are made from quilling paper, rocks are sculpey, background is watercolor and my new favorite frames are from Ikea.  About 5.5 in square.

I would love to know what you think!
