1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Felted mohawk hat, double crochet on: January 23, 2009 12:54:02 PM
I saw the picture of the original post, and decided I could just add a Mohawk onto my regular hat pattern.  Here are the results as modeled by my nephew.  Thanks for looking!  Grin

2  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Trying to turn the death star into a stencil...any ideas? on: September 18, 2008 06:29:52 PM
I saw a free stencil floating around the net, but it's not detailed enough.  I want to turn the image below into a stencil for the back of a hoodie,  I also don't have photoshop, which would probably make it a lot easier. Any help or tips would be much appreciated!

3  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Embroidered Shirt-ATHF on: September 17, 2008 03:03:27 PM
This onsie is for my friend's baby that just turned 1; basically I did all the stitching first, except for the spots on Meatwad, and then filled it all in with fabric paint. Then I put a patch on the back to make sure all of the stitches didn't irritate his skin or anything.  This is my first attempt at embroidery and fabric painting together, so any comments would be appreciated!

4  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Question on invite wording on: March 29, 2008 05:59:37 PM
Here's my predicament.  The actual wedding is for immediate family only, we're talking about parents, grandparents, and siblings, but we want to invite everyone else to the reception.  The only part I'm stuck on is how exactly to word the invites, all the ones I've seen online are for the actual wedding.  Any ideas?  Any help would be much appreciated!
5  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Zen Gardens: Zelda and floating flower (3 pics) on: January 13, 2008 01:47:21 PM
I made these a while back for my DBF and I to set on our desks.  The first one is the Triforce from Zelda, with symbols for strength, wisdom, and courage put into the triangles.  The second is a flower floating by a lily pad.  I painted both with acrylic craft paints, and sprayed them all with a clear coat.  I ended up getting sand everywhere when taking the pictures, so excuse the sandiness please! Tongue

6  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Guitar Hero Guitar Plushie on: January 12, 2008 10:14:34 PM
My friends are obsessed with all things guitar hero, so I made this for their son who isn't old enough to play yet.  His name is Brock so I thought it would be cute to put Brockstar on there in Metallica type font, I also made sure to reinforce the buttons just in case he gets a little carried away.

Just a note, I took really fast pics before I left to give them their gift, and I have no idea why this picture makes it look so wonky; I think it's just bad positioning on my part.  I will try to get a better picture from them later.  Sorry about that!

7  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / My first quilt! on: January 12, 2008 01:25:28 PM
I made this for my sister, it is lined with red fleece, and hand-tied.  It is my biggest project so far, but it turned out well, and my sister loved it.

8  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Crochet Xmas Gifts (First FO and first post) on: December 16, 2007 07:45:33 AM
I taught myself how to crochet about three months ago and I thought I would take the time to post some of the things I have made so far.  I have two camo hats made for my nephews, a pink scarf for my niece, and one for the BF's Mom (blue) and Grandma (black).
The scarf pattern is from here http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=145485.0
and the hats are boy beanies from stitch n' bitch

Thanks for looking!
9  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Need help with hairpins for wedding on: December 02, 2007 10:38:41 PM
I'm not sure if I am in the right forum, but I would like to have the clips below or something similar for my wedding, but I don't want to spend a bunch on clips I will probably only wear once.  I was thinking of making them but don't know where to start, any ideas?  Again, sorry if this is the wrong category.
