1  Re: Witch/Wicca/Pagan Litha/Summer Solstice/Midsummer Card Swap 12 in The Swap Gallery by Olivegreenspring on: June 22, 2009 02:50:43 PM
I recieved 2 cards today:

This is from Toby and It's not a card!

it's a gorgeous wood burned plaque. I love it! Thanks Toby!

and from Danni:

A Pretty Faerie with a verse from "here comes the sun" by the beatles. So thoughtful. And a little charm that is so going on my name tag at work.

Thanks All.

Hi All.

I finally got the pictures loaded, here is my fab package I recieved from RobotArsonist!

this is everything!

This is the large project. It's a mini grimoire. she made it out of an antique book! she stripped out the pages and added a binder ring strip. on the pages are hand written recipes, some of which I will be trying soon. An added bonus is, She tought me how to write my name in hieroglyphics. Smiley

RobotArsonist also made me some four thieves vinegar and put the recipe in my grimoire so i can "brew" some myself. sadly a little leaked in my package on the way. but no worries, it just added some extra protection to everything.

I also recieved some dragon's blood oil. I use dragon's blood in just about everything, so this oil is right up my alley!

and I got these uber cool vintage glasses to be used as tea light holders. I LOVE THEM. She also made me some summer incense which I will be using for a while, Thanks for the big batch of it!!!!

and: drum-roll please.

posting this picture full size because it's my favorite.

She bought me a Rider Waite set of Tarot cards. and made me an awesome bag for it.

cool story: I was super close to my Grandma, as I have talked to a few of you about. Without getting all gushy...she was the one who inspired me to follow my own path. She read Tarot and I have always wanted my own set. WELL... yesterday was my Grandma's birthday which is the day I recieved my package. As soon as I saw my cards I almost started crying because I immediatly recognized it as the set she always used. I would like to think she had a hand in inspiring robot to get them for me.

Thank you so much for my Fantastic package, Alyssa!

6  Carmen Miranda Inspired Earrings and Bracelets. in Beads: Completed Projects by Olivegreenspring on: February 19, 2009 06:20:45 PM
You know the brazillian singer with the fruit on her head? Well my aunt found a pair of gaudy, but loveable fruit earrings with pears, bananas, stawberries and they were huuuuge. so i took off the fruit charms and made these:

I also made these with some super cool swarovski crystal cube beads and some glass beads I got on sale!

And I made these bracelets:

This one is the red, It didn't photograph as well as I would have liked. The red is a bright red.

and this is a blue one is glass beads too.

So my fiance hasn't quite grown out of the "i'm going to invite my friends over and play computer games and music all night" stage. Which is fine, i'll just make some more stuff. I haven't posted pictures in a while, so this is some of what i've made in the last couple months.

and just for fun:
