My try at the MarioBeret (google it and find the pattern). Now I just have to learn to wear it...  Grin Should I decorate it somehow? Maybe a crocheted flower on the side... or not.

Thanks for looking!  Smiley

5  Hat for my toddler in Crochet: Completed Projects by Maajo on: November 06, 2007 01:32:29 AM
My intention was to crochet a hat for myself. Well I didnt have a pattern so at some point I decided that it was for my daughter...

My not so co-operative daughter wearing it

My very helpful assistant wearing it. Sorry for the dark pic.

Here you can see how long it is from the neck. Protects from the cold  well. Hat is made of 100% wool.

7  Had to share this, one ugly Moomin in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Maajo on: August 22, 2007 12:52:19 AM
He is so not what he was supposed to be.  Grin

First little about backround (why I wanted to make a Moomin)

My mom made me a Moomin over ten years ago (I was like 10+ years old). It was soft and good pillow. It lived in my bed several years but when it was so ragged that stuffing came out, It had to be sent to the "Moomin Valley". I couldnt do it. My mom threw it away when I was at school. Now it was time to have another one...

He is so hilarious! Something went wrong and he is not as round as a Moomin should be. Well at least he is soft. Wink

9  My babys blanket in Crochet: Completed Projects by Maajo on: August 11, 2007 11:11:01 AM
I put this here eventhough I used other techniques also..

I started this when I saw + on pregnancy-test... I had crocheted last time at school over ten years ago. And I didnt have any pattern. I just took a hook and some woollen-yarn and started crocheting.

In action just to show you how big the blanket is.

First I made the centerpiece: many, many, many chain stitches turn around and 7 cs, sc,7cs, sc... and so on. After that I had to start the edging = a few meters of gst.

And because nothing is enough I decided to make a lining... Its white flannel.

yaay! It was finished before Maija was Born. This is something I probably never ever do again!   (never say never... Wink )

10  Crocheted scarf <3 in Crochet: Completed Projects by Maajo on: August 10, 2007 02:05:07 AM
I made this to my friend for her birthdaypresent. It took me 2 days, this is very simple and fast to crochet. Does anybody know what the modell is called in english? Straight translation could be something like "Salomons  knot"

If you look carefully you can see the plastic pearls in the smaller pic.
