1  2 cute diaper bags in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by AshtonagoL on: September 14, 2012 06:24:44 PM
Hello!  I can finally post pics again!  My internet wouldn't upload any pics there for a while!  Here are a few new diaper bags I made.  My friend did the embroidery.  Sadly I still don't have an embroidery machine.  Sad  This pattern is from Aivilo Charlotte Designs and it is the original satchel.

And here it is with a matching wipes case and receiving blanket.  The pink on the blanket is flannel.

This is the larger version of the same pattern.  It's called the Satchel XL.  This particular one was made for a set of boy/girl twins. It has a zippered divider and elastic bottle pockets.  I made the bottle pockets different on purpose so it would be easier for mom to know whose bottles are whose at a glance.

2  Dinosaur diaper bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by AshtonagoL on: June 23, 2012 07:08:01 AM
I've been dying to buy/use this fabric so when I found out my cousin was having a boy I bought a yard of it and decided I'd figure out what to make later!  lol.  Ended up making a small diaper bag and lots of other little matching goodies.  I used the same pattern as I did for the gray/pink diaper bag just below that says "Sophia".  I made changes to the pockets and closure to make it more boyish.  Also added a front outside pocket.  Hope you like!  I think this is my new favorite pattern!

Here it is with the extra goodies!

3  Diaper bag/Satchel in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by AshtonagoL on: June 01, 2012 08:19:00 PM
Just made this cute diaper bag for one of my husband's coworkers.  Also made a little taggie and wipes case to match.  I got the pattern on etsy and it was very easy to follow.  Probably one of few bags I've actually finished in a day! The pattern is listed as a Satchel in her etsy shop. http://www.etsy.com/listing/82324508/easy-pdf-sewing-pattern-aivilo-original

4  Re: Makeup / Cosmetic bag Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by AshtonagoL on: May 20, 2012 06:23:38 PM
My partner didn't realize there was to be a small crafted item as well as the cosmetic bag so I got a new goodie in the mail yesterday! I apologize for the horrible cell phone pictures on my lap in the car.  Roll Eyes

Thanks pearljam94!  I love everything and had a lot of fun doing my first swap!

I should also add, this was my partner's first time make a cosmetic bag.  I think she did a great job!
Here is another pic of what I sent her. Smiley

6  Re: Credit card pouches and makeup bag for swap in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by AshtonagoL on: May 08, 2012 09:57:39 AM
Thanks everyone!  I wish MLB fabric came in cotton but it only comes in fleece. :/  laurakam, here is a pic of the roll unrolled but it's from the back.  I didn't take any from the front I guess.  It is basically just a hand towel folded in half.  I just added some cotton to the back for decoration and added ribbon on the edge to tie it up with.

Everybody's bags are so cute!  Sorry for the delay in getting pictures up!  Here is what I got from pearljam94.  We chose pretty similar colors!  Love it!

It also came with some good smelling lotion and a lipstick! Or wait, is that a lipstick? ...

Nope!  It's a flashlight disguised as lipstick!  Awesome!  Finally a flashlight that my boys won't steal!  Thanks so much pearljam94!  Love everything!

8  Credit card pouches and makeup bag for swap in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by AshtonagoL on: April 30, 2012 09:46:07 AM
St. Louis Cardinal's credit card pouches.  This picture shows front and back.

Also made a couple with snaps.  Back looks the same as the one above with the STL.

And a makeup bag and toiletry roll up for my swap partner!

9  Cosmetic bag aka "gathered clutch" in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by AshtonagoL on: March 27, 2012 08:17:53 PM
I made this little cosmetic bag using Noodle-head's tutorial for a gathered clutch.  The tutorial gives the option to add credit card pockets inside but mine is just plain inside.  I usually get in a hurry and take the worst pictures of my bags.  Trying to be better about that!  This is the first of my improved photography skills!

10  Drawstring bags in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by AshtonagoL on: March 19, 2012 03:27:31 PM
I had pinned this tutorial (http://incolororder.blogspot.com/2011/10/lined-drawstring-bag-tutorial.html) a while back because I am a pinaholic.  My cousin faithfully stalks my Pinterest and liked the bag as well so she asked if I could make one for her daughter for her dance shoes.  I made a trial run first.  It was so cute and easy!  The tutorial author also offers a pattern that includes other sizes and a formula for coming up with your own size.  Granted I could figure these measurements out on my own BUT, math isn't my strong suit and I'd rather spend my time sewing than figuring. Wink  And the pattern is only about $6 so it was well worth it IMO to let someone else do the figuring.  Anyway, my pics aren't great but here are all of the ones I made.  The one with the girls on it was for the dance shoes.  The rest were for my son's speech therapist to store all of her little activity pieces in.  Thanks for looking!
