Hi there long time no see! I stitched up this project for a contest over in Flikr's New embroidery with vintage patterns group. The theme was "what summer means to you."

Summer to me always means Weddings. Not only because I live in Las Vegas, the wedding capitol of the world. But because I and several of the girls in my family are June brides, you could say it has almost become a tradition. I'd like to think that this is what my wedding would have looked like back then.
I stitched most of the project using only one or two strands and a quilter's sharp needle. This pattern (1962 Old Chelsea station Design 502) was found in the Hoop love group and it was posted by the Embroiderist. fhttp://www.flickr.com/photos/embroiderist/5370399739/in/faves-22824860@N06/

Little closer to the couple, I really loved doing all those french knots with the metallic thread. I used only one strand because I wanted them as small as possible so it looked like diamonds or beading on her dress.

their faces. (so hard!) but I think they came out okay.

close up of her bouquet. If you notice I put a blue ribbon in with er pink roses and purple spray for that whole "something blue, thing.

close up of the arch and the Lillies of the valley, they were difficult as well, but pretty!
Thanks for checking it out I love this pattern and fingers crossed for the contest! LOL!
