Did you use the edible sparkly flakes to make the ladybug glittery? It looks really good!

It is actually red sugar. I had a big tub of it and decided to use it to make the red on the ladybug look "redder". I did the spots and line down the back by piping with a sandwich baggie with a corner cut off. I am not so good at that but looking forward to getting better and using real tools.

This is the ladybug cake I made for my daughter's seventh birthday. She loved it.

What a clever idea. My husband just got my two older kids Nintendo DS and a Pokemon game each (the youngest is 2 months so that is why she missed out Smiley ). They are now Pokemon obsessed and would LOVE this. Now if only I was as cool a mom as you. . .

Thank you for posting that link of making marshmallow fondant yourself. I did not even think that was a possibility. I have always used frosting on my cakes (and they are nothing like yours), but my daughter wants a tea-pot shaped cake this year for her birthday, and I was thinking fondant would be the best way to go. THANK YOU!

I don't wear big earrings, so I suppose these would not do well for me. Even so, I LOVE them. The design is so cute and I like how you made them really shiny.

I buy these all the time at Micheal's. I go through quite a few making hair bows for my girly girl.
