there's a new supply store in green bay.  it's called paper artists' connection, on s. ridge rd.  i don't think she has a website up yet, but if you're in town check it out.

hello fellow crafters,

just wanted to pass along some information.  i recently learned that jo-ann's corporate instructs their employees to throw away many items that they are overstocked with as well as fabric/ribbon ends.  as crafters, we all know the value using every little scrap.    i encourage you all to contact jo-ann's corporate via the "contact us" link on their website and request a revision of their policy.  instead of filling landfills with these items they can order less to start with, sell excess at a reduced (clearance) price, or donate to a thrift store or other organization.

this is the site for door county artist patty o'rourke.  if you get the opportunity, i highly recommend her workshops.  i recently attended her "going postal" workshop.  EXCELLENT!  and she is just the kind of person that will fill you with inspiration.  the renegade cowgirl on her 8/29/2007 blog entry is something i sent her after the workshop.

just discovered this place in DePere, WI (near Green Bay.)  awesome collection of supplies, plus workshops with local artists!
