Hello! In a previous post I made a short top that needed some high waisted shorts to go with them. I've been looking for the perfect sailor shorts forever, so why not combine the two!

These shorts were such a dream to make. I drafted the pattern myself and not only do they fit perfectly, there were also no mistakes made while sewing them! Usually I spend more time ripping seams open again, but not on these babies. I think that means it was meant to be.


The flap is fully functional and the pockets lined with some pretty liberty print calico.


And I like old looking pictures haha

I was inspired by a post on a blog I follow, and decided I need a sun top like this in my life. The fabric was so cheap (I think I paid around $4 for 2 yards...then again I really don't need 4 yards of this fabric..oops rambling) and it was super easy to construct. As of right now the back is a tie, but I might change it to a button closure eventually.



Terrible picture but it shows the top better.



And I couldn't resist making one of the pictures look 'old'.
