11  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / 80's off the shoulder sweater! on: January 13, 2008 05:00:13 PM
ok i need help...

i'm in search of an oversized 80'd off the shoulder sweater pattern... a friend of mine wants to make one has no clue how to knit so i figured the best place to start is with a pattern so that we can figure out what stitches she needs to learn...

the type of sweater is like this...

PLEASE HELP ME!

any help is appreciated! just please if you can find free patterns they are better cause i refuse to order patterns from online because i'm told i have to teach her after exams and those are in 2 weeks......

if you can help please link me to patterns perhaps?  Undecided i would appreciate it so much because i'm having no luck....

One evening as i sat online talking to my friend, she came across this picture of one of the musicians we like. He was wearing this amazing hat, and she wanted it. The hide hat was born. I created the pattern myself and attempted to replicate the hat although i feel i did an aweful job but she likes it Smiley I named it the hide hat because the person this hat was on is named hide Smiley Here is a picture of the original hat...

Well my friend wanted a pattern for a guinea pig, we refuse to pay for a pattern from online... Mushi was born (for those of you who think mushi is just a weird name it is not it means insect in japanese...) mushi is the alien guinea pig being electric blue and hot pink. i hope you like him Smiley This is just a prototype... the others won't be this bright Tongue

18  CANADA / Ontario / Help from fellow hamiltonians? on: November 19, 2007 12:22:50 PM
HOLA!

Well it has been a productive few weeks since I started to crochet and I have reached a problem.

I made a hat for a friend and now it seems like every girl in my grade wants one. So the problem is I have no clue where to purchase yarn. Undecided in Hamilton the only places I can think of are Wal-Mart and Zellers (limited selection...) so Im looking for somewhere to purchase yarn... I do not want to order it online, because... well plain and simple I need it now... So if anyone could tell me somewhere I can get some nice yarn then Id greatly appreciate it.

Mucho Gracious!

19  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / HATS GALORE! on: November 12, 2007 05:25:12 PM
well i decided to make my friend leah a giraffe hat, and once i gave it to her it seemed that everyone at school wanted a hat. i sell them for 10$ because i need to buy materials and my time of course, but anywho... here are a few i've done so far Smiley oh and sorry for dark pictures...

those are of a mouse hat for my friend steph. and leahs giraffe hat.

these two are not for anyone, they are a cookie monster hat, and a bear hat... i made them when i was bored...

these are a black with pink edged hat i made in spare time today, and a dark brown with light brown bear hat for my friend erin.

i hoped you liked them Smiley and sorry again for dark pictures.... comments and criticism greatly appreciated because these are the very first crocheted things i have done... ( i started kinda big with ym first project being a hat before i even knew how to dc....) Grin

i buy these really nice wooden boxes when i see them. they are like plain wood and i paint them. a challenge for designing a box would be neat...

or maybe a hat challenge? like the freakiest, or most original wins.. can be made of anything.... idk they sounded good in my head but now i'm not so sure..
