This is very cool!  Man, if I knew  how to make these I would go crazy, I will have to find the patience to learn someday.

Your friend is very lucky, these turned out wonderfully. I love the colors as well.

Very nice!  I'd love to see how that fantastic back looks while it's on you.  Plus, I love your hair in that photo!

First off, I adore the way you displayed these Cheesy

And what beauties!  It makes me think I should finally try my hand at some undies!  The close up shots of the stitching are great as well. Everything about them are is just so fun and playful, can't go wrong with stripes!
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Vintage inspired high waisted jeans, circle skirt and matching top on: March 13, 2011 09:04:47 PM
YES!!  Those pants are amazing, I've been hunting for something like that I'm so glad you were able to point me to the pattern!

And that skirt and top look effortless on you.  This whole post deserves a ton of gold stars!

This is adorable! I want one!! haha. Can I ask where you got the zebra fabric?

I have like 6 yards of it from forever ago but I'm pretty sure I just got it at Joann's

I love this thing and plan on making a ton more.  Can't go wrong with a two tier, high waist black and zebra print skirt!  A sort of retro feel with an updated twist ^_^

8  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Fat robot made from boxes! on: March 09, 2011 04:47:10 PM
I wasn't sure exactly where to post this...but I think he counts as a creature/play thing!  If not, someone please direct me to the proper place Smiley

We have a ton of boxes laying around the apartment so last night I just kind of went crazy.  Probably could have planned him out better and will likely make a new one.  But I like him anyway!

And a little bow tie

Here he is after a few too many drinks:

This is pretty dang sweet.  Great fabric and I like the way the print looks from a distance as well.  Really a nice job!

Thanks everyone!  I wish I had more of this fabric but, alas, I had only salvaged a little bit while helping my grandma clean out her sewing room.  (Which basically equates to me taking several boxes of fabric off her hands)

I agree older spandex does make a difference. I had a pair of bell bottom spandex pants that I wore all the time and they were the best. Fit great on the patookie and looks so cute! But I "lent" them to a friend who hasn't spoken to me since or even offered to give them back.
Where pre-tell did you get the awesome spandex you made your adorable shirt/dress from?
