1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Christmas present for my brother-in-law on: November 22, 2010 04:55:01 PM
I'm stumped again.  I can never come up with stuff to sew for guys.  Last year I made him a sock monkey, no response.  Help please.  He just got out of the military, into video games and paint ball guns, and has four kids with a fifth on the way.  He is also a student.
2  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / A sprite, not the beverage. on: November 02, 2010 04:04:30 PM

This year I dress as a green forest sprite.   I made the dress a few months ago and totally messed up on it.  So I decided to cut it up for this costume and I made the wrist bands and wreath from the leftover fabric.  Came out okay, except that no one could tell what I was even when I told them.
By the way, my face always looks like that in photos, so no worries.  It's way worse when I actually look at the camera, so be glad I didn't.
3  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Mini-dolls and no sleep. on: August 19, 2009 02:36:07 PM

These are little dolls I made last night at about 2am.  Their names are Kailey and Boris, guess which is Boris.  They are made with fabric scraps and twist-ties.  I actually made a short film with them and posted it on my blog and I want to make more.  Maybe I'll make other dolls too, or at least more clothes more Kailey, and maybe a cute little house.  Cheesy
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Anybody Know how to make ties? on: March 03, 2009 01:47:39 PM
I wanted to make a necktie out this shiny green fabric I got at Goodwill, and I'm not sure how. Cry
5  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Does anyone sew by hand anymore? on: February 14, 2009 01:10:38 PM
It seems like anytime you hear about someone learning to sew or something, the first thing they do is get a sewing machine.  When I started sewing I did it by hand, in fact I didn't even touch a machine until I was 14.  Was my mom just old-fashioned?
6  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Happy Birthday on: September 07, 2008 04:38:27 PM
My cat Midnight is turning 4 on the 23rd and I don't know what to give for a present. Any ideas?
