21  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Wicked Children Altered Tin Gallery! on: September 15, 2012 02:34:32 PM
Captain nemo is marvelous, i'm floored by the tentacles and my brain cannot compute the fact the sheets are clay

I haven't commented in a while as I had no access to the internet for a week. These are all amazing and I have serious swap anxiety that my beginner tin altering skills are going to look shabby in comparison

I love baby medusa- and the line on it about teething made me laugh
Baby Vader also made me chuckle, you guys have a wicked sense of humor
Birdbones and Suereals tins are both brilliantly bonkers  Grin I love how some of these wicked kids refused to be 'contained' within the constraints of an altoid tin- their wickedness has spilled over!!!
Love the studs, texture, colour and the moustachioed baby on Vlad the impaler and I cannot get my head around how detailed that Godzilla tin is  Shocked
Love the high camp of franken-furter, of course he would have a glittery crib!!!
I will admit to not knowing who maleficent is (someone enlighten me please) but that fort is great

I am so impressed at all the teeny tiny details everyone has crammed in - I am equal parts in awe and terrified of you all

These are all so amazing! I love them all
The glint in the queen of hearts eye makes me laugh
Little Dali is cute on the surface but one sick puppy underneath
The borg queen gives me the chills- the doll parts are so sinister and speaking of doll part the grand high witch is supremely spooky
I love how the Tesla tin lights up- what a great idea

What a twisted creche we have  Grin

The sloth is beautiful!
25  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Wicked Children Altered Tin Swap CLOSED (sendouts August 31) on: August 28, 2012 01:44:47 AM
I'm all finished but glad of the extension as it means I don't have to drag my poorly miserable self and equally sicky kids to the post office today ugh! Wicked child has brought a plague on our household I think!

Am so looking forward to meeting all the wicked kids in the gallery

Arghhh! That clown gives me the heebie jeebies! I love all the little details in the background!

Have you STILL not opened it? You must have had a tiny peek?!
 Wink

My tin is starting to look more like the picture in my head- still plenty to do though
28  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Re: Substitution for 28ct Monaco fabric on: August 14, 2012 12:05:06 PM
I think it is like evenweave linen so yes a needlework linen should work fine

This was done for the Phat Quarter (flickr embroidery group) swap. The theme was 1970's and this is based on a photo from the 1970 Isle of Wight festival. All stitched in one strand of a space-dyed silk thread.
