I used a disappearing in fabric marker. They're all freehand drawings based on photos that I took using PhotoBooth on my mac. I'm not sure how i simplify it into only lines but there it is.

the beauty and frustration lie in the fraying. basically every time you make a stitch taut it will move. i've done much bigger pieces like...3'x6' (yes, feet), so i thought i had the skills down. being on a smaller scale actually amplifies the problem. but i still love the effect.

These are a series of self-portraits that I embroidered as part of an art exchange. We had to complete 5 pieces no bigger than 4"x6". So...they're tiny. They're regular embroidery floss on tarlatan (kind of a loose, starched cheesecloth). C&C please!
