11  Unicorns ARE real in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by four-eyed_girl on: September 09, 2009 05:31:22 PM
Thanks to jessyratfink's awesome hat pattern, I finally know how to make a decent hat. So I sense an endless variety of horrible hats that I've been envisioning.

Anyways, on to the project. My most beloved friend is turning 26 next week so I have decided that the best way to celebrate is by making her a hat of her favorite animal; the unicorn. I really aimed to make this as tacky as I possibly could handle. Without further ado....

13  Better pics! Star Trek Necklace!!!!! in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by four-eyed_girl on: May 05, 2009 08:30:27 PM
I got slightly better pictures! I give you.....Star Trek Jewelry!

It's made of nickel and brass and I riveted the two pieces together. Sorry I look bedrazzled, it was raining when I left work today and haven't bothered to look better yet. And yes, I do plan on wearing it to the movie this weekend!

14  She's a Rhinestone Kitten in Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects by four-eyed_girl on: March 03, 2009 03:44:46 PM
I have totally geeked out for crafting for my kitten, much to her dismay. And, given that we're always at the vet due to her ongoing health issues due to being abandoned at 2 weeks old in a park. But, I'll spare you the details of her flea and worm problems. I've decided that Olive and I will be the most stylish pair in the vet's office! Without further ado, I give you bedazzled gemtasmic cat supplies...

Here's her harness...

And Olive cringing, er, modeling....

But I didn't stop there on my gemtastic journey! I give you, the rhinestone Unknown Hinson-inspired (I copied the design from one of his fabulous country shirts) cat carrier

And yes, the glue wasn't dry when I took the wonderful cell phone pics, but I assure you, it dried clear.

I have bedazzled myself into a coma. Hopefully, I'm not the only person to want a shiny rhinestone kitten.

Comments please!

15  Kittenshark! Costume...Now with wings! in Halloween Costumes by four-eyed_girl on: September 16, 2008 07:25:57 PM
In addition to the kittenshark costume, Olive now has wings. And no, they didn't come from red bull.

Lovely wings. They're made of felt and can slide right until the top part of her harness so that it doesn't bother her...too much. And another view of her...sleeping like an angel.

I give you a new superhero....

its going to be a shark filled halloween for my kitten and i all thanks to the fabulous movie, eagle vs. shark.

16  narwhal vs. beluga! in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by four-eyed_girl on: August 30, 2007 08:24:50 PM
well, i got slightly whale obsessed. i had to have my two favorite whales to add to my stuffed whale collection. i tried to make them pretty realistic...as realistic as tiny felt whales can get of course. so here we go!

narwhal v. beluga

loverly little narwhal. as my brother exclaimed "thats a big nar on the whal"

notice the awesome mottled back

my very special beluga

another view...i thought this pic made his tail look nice

thanks for looking!

EDIT: the pics didn't show up the first time.

17  whales! in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by four-eyed_girl on: August 26, 2007 07:45:14 PM
I was completely jealous of elegantmusings beautiful whale, so I had to have my own. They're much tinier and made of felt.

Here's the original, Albert (it's French so silent "t" you know)

And a less blurry pic

Albert and his American girlfriend, that has no name as of yet, swimming in a sea of fleece

They're about 2 inches tall and 3.5 inches long. Currently I'm working on a slightly less cartoony beluga whale. Quirky whales for me.

Comments and critiques welcome!
