I just had to open my package - I think Paige talked to some people who know me or she's just magic!

Here is my cool new Keychain

And these adorable cards I can send out for the holidays - My daughter grabbed these straightaway so I had to get them back.

And this is so cool/coincidental/weird - I pulled out some sunflower fabric yesterday and was trying to decide what to make out of it.  And this is what Paige sent me - this totally awesome needle punch sunflower.

And this lovely purse made of wool and in the most beautiful teal blue-ish color.  I have a grey and teal suit that it will look fabulous with and it matches my shoes - I think she called my kids . . .

Thank you so much Paige, I love it all - Christmas in September.  And yours should be there very soon.

33  Getting mini-quilts ready for the holidays - Ghosts in Quilting: Completed Projects by habitat-lady on: August 12, 2007 09:30:50 PM
Okay, I thought I had this little mini done, but the ghosts didnt stand out enough for me.  So, I changed the thread and outlined them in black.  Sorry bout the first pic, it looks like ghosts in headlights.  Not sure what I had the camera set on.

One of my lovely opinionated kids said the black doesn't look right?  I bow to the masters - what do you think?

34  Re: River Stones - placemats, bowls, platters in Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions by habitat-lady on: August 12, 2007 05:50:11 AM
I love the bowl and platter.  I saw the place mats and had an idea for you.  I make frames similar to this and you could make the placemats with some slight changes.  I would use thin plywood and back it with felt so it wont scratch any surfaces.  I use tile adhesive to glue the rocks on and then cover with clear acrylic spray.  Here is a phot

Good luck!

35  I finished this Patience Square Quilt while reading posts on here tonight. in Quilting: Completed Projects by habitat-lady on: August 10, 2007 09:53:31 PM
I have been working on this Patience Square quilt for a few weeks. This is the second hand-pieced quilt i've done.  I made it for my teen-age daughter.  There is significance in the name! LOL

I've been hand sewing the binding every night while I read craftster posts. You folks are truly inspirational!

Here is the back, I love seeing the pattern on the back of a quilt.

I'm revving up that sewing machine after this - no more hand-piecing for a long, long time.  Woo Hooo!!!
