They are so beautiful, I'm a sucker for anything with Japanese paper! I especially like the little one with the larger maple leaf/starbursts on the inside.

What about if you made a noren, a Japanese doorway curtain?  You basically cut it up the middle almost to the top, hem it, and hang it in a doorframe.  Here are some example pictures:
