1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Re: Harry Potter Snitch Class Valentines & Tute! on: February 09, 2013 04:30:46 AM
These are so awesome! As soon as my daughter saw them, she wanted to do them. We're buying supplies today. Thanks for the great idea!
2  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: Knotted Baby Hats from Tee Shirts on: August 16, 2011 07:54:33 PM
Aww, what a cute little one and the hat is cute too!
3  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Maternity Costume on: October 30, 2010 01:09:25 PM
My husband and I are going as pregnant nun and a priest Smiley
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Ten Minute Tee Recon (image OBESE) on: June 21, 2010 12:29:47 PM
Great idea! I'm pregnant and starting to grow out of my clothes--these would be quick to make out of a few thrift store shirts without looking like tents Smiley
A nice addition might be to cut the hem off the bottom and sleeves and sew a lettuce edge on them...
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Dress from two Pillow Shams on: March 25, 2010 07:52:09 PM
Ok, this is totally off topic, but I bought those same pillow shams a few years ago and made a purse out of them, see it here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=255992.msg2858976#msg2858976

Also, I should note that I had the same problem with that fabric being too lightweight.

Really nice idea and dress!

basementcrafter:

Thanks for the info, sounds great! Once we get settled I will look up the group.
7  Ohio / Ohio: Northeast / Re: Youngstown Area on: July 07, 2009 11:46:03 PM
Thanks, drpop, for the info.  We're moving to Youngstown in mid-August and I'm happy to hear about crafty happenings there.

Basementcrafter and froggmomma, I would be interested in the other sites and/or meeting up with fellow craftsters.  I could do a stitch-n-bitch, though I seem to just keep reknitting the same scarf and frogging it over and over!
8  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Softie Chicken Wings on: February 27, 2009 01:28:22 PM
Those are great! My husband loves buffalo wings--I should make him some Smiley
9  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: what is black, red and white, and tube-like all over? on: February 27, 2009 01:06:58 PM
What about if you sewed it in as an apron and use the red to make an underskirt?  The colors/patterns seem to go together so well...
10  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Re: a convertible bag like the miche? on: February 02, 2009 02:10:42 PM
I just saw a commercial for this and the first thing I thought was, "Hmm, let's jump on Craftster and see if anyone has come up with a good way to DIY!"

This bag is what I have been wishing for my whole life--I hate to change purses! But I kept thinking that you should be able to take the inside out--it is a much better idea to just take the outside off!
