1  Fun skirt and petticoat! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by michpitts on: August 27, 2009 12:25:08 PM
I finally finished my skirt! It's not perfect, but I really like it. First up, general picture of skirt and petticoat:

A detail shot of the fabric in the blue skirt, and the buttons. The top button is actually a large white one with a smaller metallic button inside. I wanted an old brooch or something, but got tired of not finding any in the local seond hand shops:

the petticoat/underskirt, in all it's unironed glory:

Detail shot of the white on white stitching on the waistband of the underskirt (sorry if it's hard to see):

And a very bad one of it on me:

Please leave a review on your way by! I'd love to hear your feedback!

2  Old Tees Get Remade (My First Post!) in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by michpitts on: August 25, 2009 02:48:49 PM
First up, from a brown mens size L and an old yoshi shirt:

I'm much more proud of the second shirt, hence the greater number of pics. Firstly, a general shot (with what I promise is my foot, and not a spare body part I happened to have lying around. Mad scientists classes don't start until third year  Wink Sorry about that!):
Yup, Im an engineering student! While I don't go to Ryerson (big cities freak me out!) I do have to give credit to the makers of the original shirt, found on the back:

And finally, a detail shot of the collar and tops of the sleeves. It took a while, but I like the effect!

That's all for now folks! I'd be really grateful if you left a comment or something on your way by - it's my first post and I'm kind of nervous!
