1  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / looking for a pattern. on: September 15, 2013 03:52:29 PM
Someone posted this in a Facebook group but cannot remember where she got the pattern from. Sad I reversed google image but nothing doing. Has anyone ever seen one like this?

2  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Rainbow blanket on: July 23, 2013 06:20:40 PM

I saw the blanket on pinterest ( originally with no pattern in the link) and knew I had seen the stitch in my crochet stitch bible. My bible has gone missing so I don't know the name of the stitch, but never fear the original blogger put a tutorial on the stitch on her blog.
the heart is also from her.

the only problem I had was i feel it is off balanced since the top is on the diagonal and the bottom has a straight edge because of the chain. But I think not having a border is pretty nice too.
Enjoy!
3  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / What kind of clay do you think this might be... and more ?'s on: April 16, 2012 04:10:29 PM
My mom got this from my (distant) cousin's baby's baptism, it was the party favor. I don't talk to said cousin much at all ok technically only when I'm in town and it has been like years since I last talked to her. any who...Here are some pictures.

this is the back how the 'beads' are placed onto the string.

Also the 'bead' is shimmery/glittery and it smells like roses.
I've been googling to see if I could find something similar and talked to another cousin who talks to said cousin regularly, but no word back.
So I'm wondering... would it be possible for me ( a never used clay before) to make something like this rosary?
Also how do you scent it? and keep the scent strong because this thing is over a year old and still smells great.. but it also hasn't been handled a lot ( which I think is why it stayed smelling great). and also what kind of clay would this be? I know I posted this in the polymer section, but its because I had no clue where to put it.

I can only presume that this wasn't a baked bead but more of an air dry bead because the string is embedded in the cross. But I'm not a clay person so I have no clue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA.
4  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Can you name this yarn? on: July 25, 2011 08:50:40 PM
I bought this years... ok at least a decade ago. Its red heart babysport yarn, but I don't know the color. There was a pattern associated with this color which I can't remember the name of either.  Undecided
cool points if you can name the color for me please.

6  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Crochet for a punk rock baby... on: June 26, 2008 06:16:16 PM
well make that 2 punk rock babies..
My friend who is quirky and awesome all rolled into one is preggo with twins ( boy and girl) she wants mint and chocolate for colors, which i have blissfully found. But.... i'm having a really hard time figuring out what kind of pattern to make. I also am unsure if I should make them identical or... vary the color scheme ( with the same pattern) or make 2 different patterns completely.
I want something punk/emo/funky....that works well with just 2 colors. blahhhhh.  Roll Eyes i hate being soooo uncreative. so help please?Huh TIA
