Hi guys! I got this really great red/white striped jersey last night ($1.78/yd!) and I think it would look great as a Bustier-style tank. You know, really structured cups, but then I want it to be a little bit looser so as I can wear it with a pair of high waisted denim shorts or a navy skirt and tuck it in.

So, I KNOW I have seen a tutorial on here for a shirt or dress similar, but I cannot dig it up! If anyone could help that would be fantastic. I really just need to figure out how to do the cups.

soooo my roommate spent the last three weeks building homes in india & while she was there she turned 20. and last night at about 9pm i realized that she was indeed on a plane heading back to the US and i would be seeing her saturday afternoon. and nope, i did not buy her a birthday present.

so of course i ran upstairs to my pile of fabric that i haven't touched in probably years because my sewing machine was broken. luckily my brother's girlfriend was able to fix it (yay for fashion designer girlfriends!) but i still need to buy a better one. i almost threw it out the window trying to sew this puppy.

anyway, i just cut what i thought looked good and what fit on the fabric that i had. i didn't want to do the zigzag details but my machine wasn't letting me do proper straight lines. i'm happy with how the zigzags turned out anyways. i wanted to do something different too, so i made three straps and braided them together into one.

with all the hassle of sewing the red edging on about 6 different times and removing the stitching over and over again the bag probably took me about 5 hours total. not too bad.

hi everyone! i made this collage a few months ago when one of my favorite bands (Jack's Mannequin) had a call for entries for a music video of theirs called "Swim." so i made this collage in about 24 hours (during about 3 days) & sent it in, and it made it into the video! i was really stoked about this, but i'm REALLY sad that the record label kept it, because i totally want it on my wall!

the background is paper shopping bags - the darker ones i stained with coffee grounds. the swallow & text are made from scrapbook paper

hey, i'm a freshman photography student in college. my final project for intro to photo is due in 3 weeks and.....i don't have a topic. i was going to do live music, but there arent many bands playing with this being a holiday weekend, and i need 60 photos for monday, so that kind of fell through.

i was thinking maybe soemthing to do with thanksgiving dinner/homecooked food compared to college caf food but i'm not sure. anyone have any other ideas? any help is apprecaited.

Sunday, December 10, 2006, 10 am-3 pm at the Braintree Town Hall (1 John F Kennedy Memorial Drive-at the corner of Washington St and Central Ave), in order to raise money for the Daniel J. and Emily M. Crovo Scholarship Fund and for other Junior Lodge charitable endeavors.

Prices for crafters: $45 per space (bring your own table & covering, and own extension cord if needed) Crafters may share a space. We are also requesting that you donate a raffle for our raffle table.

Doors for set up open at 8:00 am. You must agree that you will be set up before doors at 10 am and that you will not break down before 2:45 so that all customers have a chance to view the full craft fair.

We are trying to get an array of all types of crafters so that there will be something for everybody.

There will also be face painting for kids.

so in digital arts class we had to do a celebrity portrait. so i picked Fin from the Summer Obsession. i took the pic from the max ride photoshoot and cut out everyone else, and drew fin on Illustrator. it took like 2-3 weeks, with like 45 minutes every day.

the mouth was supersupersuper hard.

i'm pissed because my monitor at school ahs scuky colors, so it looks really different, but meh. i'm proud of myself, yay!

i have a an old pair of navy blue corduroys from pacsun. i LIVED in these pants for a year. theyre the most comfy things in the worlddddd. but since i wore them so much the cord has started to wear off on the butt =[. and they're getting short. soooo. it's gonan turn into a skirt.

i'm okay with making the skirt, BUT im afraid since the butt is so worn it's gonna become a hole? is there any way to prevent that? i reallyyyyyyy don't want to throw these away!

i have no idea how long this took. i started a couple weeks ago, got so fed up with the bodice, then gave up. I decided to pick it up today because I was going to wear it to a party tonight .. but the bodice is still funky. Possibly because I was suppsoed to use a zipper and I don't have one .. and I also didn't follow the pattern, because it confused the sh*t out of me.

the pattern was like $3 from wal mart. New Look 6600, view D. i altered the bow on the front, and honestly, the thing is just really screwed up .. :-/. my first shirt though. i'm proud? haha
