A nice project for a lazy Sunday.  Destash on fabric scraps and 26 happy cats.  I made 2 for my cats and they love 'em!

Made my husband these for Valentine's day- one of many little gifts for him.  I surprised him with them when he got home from work today.   He nommed them right away- good thing I took pics first!

I saw similar undies at a dept. store and they were cute but way out of my budget for a pair of underwear!  So I got some plain black boyshorts at target and sewed a few pieces of lace trim on them.  Super easy and my husband loves them.  They took about 10 minutes to make and about $8 total materials to make 2.   

Cute!  My cats are fascinated when I work, especially with yarn, chain and beads.  They find the beads I drop right away too- although it's not always easy to get them back.   Here's my twin kittehs: 

I have been doing very basic sewing (hemming pants and simple curtains), and I tried to make a bag once, but it came out horrible, so I stuck to the simple.  But then I saw this fruit fabric and knew it would be perfect for a lunch bag- especially because my new year's resolution is to pack my lunches for work more often (for both economical and weight-loss reasons.)  I had to make the lining longer to fold over since I didn't have too much of the fruit print (it was cheap in a scrap sale.)

So here it is, my very first lunch bag (I slightly modified instructions from the tote design in this book: http://www.makeworkshop.com/content/sewbook/sewbook.html to make it lunch size and fold the lining over.)  I'm very proud of it and inspired to make more things.  The book makes it really easy, btw!

i've been meaning to make this necklace for a long time.  it's my nickname.  it's just shrinky dinks and bicycle type chain.   i love it though
