11  cute owl dress in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by crassy_mcnasty on: August 19, 2011 01:58:08 PM
my friend just had a baby so i had to make a cute little dress for her.  it was super easy to make, i used this tutorial on prudent baby: http://www.prudentbaby.com/2010/03/diy-pillowcase-baby-dress-pattern.html

i found rick rack that was soft and fuzzy for $1 at the fabric warehouse near me like 100 years ago and got it knowing that it would be perfect for something.  well this is it- i love the look of rick rack but it's kind of stiff and didn't want to put that on a tiny baby's dress, but the soft one is perfect.  i rick-racked the inside of the 'sleeves' too so it has a scalloped effect.  I hope that mommy and baby love it.

14  First Child's Clothing: Kitty Top in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by crassy_mcnasty on: June 06, 2011 03:42:30 PM
Made this top for my cutie pie niece.  She loves cats- it was her 1st word: 'Kitty'!!  I hope she likes it.  It was easy and fun to make following a pattern I found online, will try to find and post that later.  In the meantime...tada!! I'm so proud of it!

blurry (sorry!) closeup of the print, found it in the pajama fabric aisle of joann fabrics:

Adorable!!!  Love the scarf especially.

Now the fun part- I got my package from Anarchy Cupcakes- and I LOVE everything!!  With no further ado, the fun items inside (sorry my camera sucks, but I couldn't find my better one!)

First, my favoritest item, a Fire Swamp Journal:

Then, 2 pillowcases that match my bedroom perfectly I might add- I wish the trim came out better, - it's gorgeous.  and they are maroon but look red in the pics:

Then, to relax, there is soap and Miracle Max's Lightning Sand Soak (for when you've been mostly dead all day...):

A needlebook with buttercups and 'twoo wuv' on it (they're really pretty sorry again for my crap camera)

And finally, a tote to carry everything in (in my favorite color purple):

closeup of the really pretty fabric:

And of course my cat deciding to lay on it before I got my pictures done:

16  2 $3 skirts sized & upgraded in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by crassy_mcnasty on: April 03, 2011 07:26:06 PM
I found 2 jersey skirts for just $3 each at the thrift store.  They were too big so I sized them down and made them fold-over style (put the seams on the outside of the top) since I am short.  Then I added awesome appliques to them.  They'll be perfect with casual summer tops and flip flops.

my call to post office seemed to work, my package was delivered today!  and it was worth the wait- it's frikkin' awesome!!

I love it so much, my husband even gushed on how cool it was.  I really love Elvis, especially since I visited Graceland last year. It even came with 2 things I always keep in my purse- a makeup bag and a money holder.  Now, without further ado the pics.

18  tissue holder for my mom in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by crassy_mcnasty on: March 13, 2011 06:24:11 PM
My mom is obsessed with tissues, she always carries a bunch folded in her purse 'in case'.  We even wrapped her a big box of tissues for xmas as a joke.

So I made her a tissue holder- I'm going to send it when a whole bunch of those little tissue packets.

20  Atari Joystick Pin Cushion in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by crassy_mcnasty on: March 08, 2011 02:15:17 PM
I made this for my swap partner (don't worry she already received it).  She is a sewer and loved Atari 2600, just like me, so I made her a pin cushion.  I love it so much and my friends loved it so much I might have to make them one too.
