1  U.K. AND IRELAND / ENGLAND / Manchester Crafts on: February 06, 2009 03:44:34 AM
Help!

I'm moving to Manchester and was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of any good craft shops etc?

I've only ever visited this area, never explored, I'll be living next to Salford central station, so I can get about easily enough.

Thanks

Tara
2  CITY GUIDES FOR CRAFTSTERS / U.K. AND IRELAND / Birmingham Craft Meet Up !!! on: July 30, 2008 02:36:05 PM
Hello!

We've finally chosen when and where to get together to meet up. This first meet is to discuss what people want from the group, or even to create a couple of seperate groups to cover different crafts. At the moment there is talk of a burlesque craft group perhaps with additional crafts too.

If you're interested and fancy coming along we will be meeting

Wednesday 6th August

Venue : The Garden House, Hagley Road,

Time - 7:30pm

For those who multimap/journey plan or sat nav heres the postcode

B16 9NX

Send me a message or a comment if you fancy coming along, or even if you've got some ideas of what you want to be included but won't be there to get your word in.

Hope to see some of you soon!

xx
3  CITY GUIDES FOR CRAFTSTERS / U.K. AND IRELAND / Birmingham / Midland Crafters on: July 25, 2008 05:48:35 AM

Thought I'd make a bit of an appeal for other crafters based in the midlands area.  I'm currently signed off work sick, so the net has become my haven for all things craft.

I've set up a group on facebook 'Birminghamm Craft Mafia' and also a myspace;

www.myspace.com/birminghamcraftmafia

It'd be great to hear from some like minded people near to or in my hometown.  I've also got an email address brum-craft-mafia@hotmail.co.uk

I think it'd be nice to have a bit of an online community where we can swap hints and tips photos etc.  I know Glasgow has a craft mafia, I think it's be quite cool if we got one going in the midlands.

Sorry if this all sounds a bit rushed and delirious I think the heat has got to my head.  Hope to hear from someone soon Cheesy
