1  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / City Skyline stencil? on: August 06, 2007 11:47:56 PM
I want to paint the silhouette of a city skyline along a wall in my room. The only problem is I can't find any stencils, outlines, or useful things to do it with. Plus, I've never stenciled before.

I've been able to find a few photos/vectors that I could convert into just a simple print/cutout... does that work? Do I just tape it up onto the wall and then paint the inside of it?

Also, if you know of a site with a skyline stencil or a really good picture I could use, that would be great!

Oh- and here's the plan for the rest of my room... if you guys were interested in giving some feedback:
Turquoise walls (darker turquoise for the wall my bed goes on, and that the city skyline is going on)
This bedspread (target):

This headboard (urban):

And this decal in white for above my desk (blik):
