2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / man hat pattern? on: August 28, 2008 08:58:05 PM
I need to make a hat for my friend.  He is about to leave for yet more chemo (well, I'm not sure what it is but it is experimental) Anyway- his head is on the large side and he has had trouble finding one that fits.  I would like to make him one.  Does anyone have a suggestion for a simple hat that would work?  -  I'm pretty inexperienced but I know the basics.

TIA!

Emily

4  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Pantyhose/Tights/Nylons on: January 07, 2008 09:41:35 PM
wow ! that wig is awesome!

I have some baby tights that are too short for my little girl now.  I'm going to cut off the legs and use them to make a headband. (just cut off the ends and tie together at the right length)  I see headbands for babies all the time that look like the exact same material.  I already made tutus so I am going to attach some of the tulle from that to the headband and make it match.  Smiley
