Crochet hooks and thick knitting needles have worked for me. So has mitering the corners .

Glad to see this. Ive had trouble with those frames, too. I got some at Daiso (japanese dollar store-type place) the instructions said to use pliers to pinch the frame around the fabric as well as glue. It looked horrible.

I will forego the pliers and try letting the glue tacky-up a bit.

I like to use original images from old books, newspapers or magazines whenever I can - I love thrift stores and ebay!  A lot of it is just collecting stuff over time and then sorting through a ton of old paper looking for an image I like.


me too! Also, another place to find semi-trashed books are library book sales.
