11  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Lost/Alias (J.J. Abrams) Swap? on: February 02, 2005 05:14:14 PM
Anyone out there love J.J. Abrams shows? Alias... Lost... (Oh, okay...I know there are some Felicity fans out there, too.)  I'm participating in the Joss Whedon swap now and I was just thinking that sometime in the future a J.J. swap could be cool.  I am such a dork for Lost and Alias.

14  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Grandmother Bracelet on: January 29, 2005 09:53:08 PM
Yay!  I just finished a cute grandmother bracelet for my mother-in-law.  One of her other daughters-in-law just had a baby girl last week and already has twin boys, so I thought I'd surprise my MIL with a baby name bracelet.  I wanted to use some of those three-hole spacer things, but I couldn't find them while I was out shopping for the beads.  I guess I'll have to order them online next time.  Even still, I think it turned out pretty cute.  Smiley  I added a little charm to the clasp to remind her of what she does for her grandchildren; it says "Inspire."

The boys' birthstone is diamond, so I used crystal beads, but they didn't show up so well in the photo.

Feedback is appreciated.  Thanks.  Smiley
15  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / How Do I Close This Clasp? on: January 29, 2005 04:54:55 PM
How does this clasp close?  I'm confused.   Huh

16  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Fairy Bracelet on: January 25, 2005 10:58:07 AM
Yay!  I finally branched out into making glass bead bracelets.  This is my first bracelet with a charm, a cute little fairy (although you can't really tell from the flashed-out picture)!

Any thoughts?
17  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / I'm Such a Hot Head! on: January 15, 2005 11:36:59 PM
I'm so addicted to making the Hot Head hat from SNB!  It's sooooo easy!   Cheesy  I would advise any knitting newbies afraid of making hats to try this pattern!  The blue one is Debbie Bliss cashmerino superchunky.  The fuzzy blue, white and pink one is Moda Dea Aerie.  I love these yarns!

18  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Aerie Garter Stitch Scarf & Ribbed Hat on: January 13, 2005 09:14:48 PM
Okay, so it's just a (really wide) garter stitch scarf.  Nothing to jump up and down about.  But I'm really excited about it because Moda Dea Aerie yarn is so soft and pretty and girly.  (I could take a nap in the super soft fringe!  It's uneven, but it looks fluffy and "staggered" when I'm actually wearing the scarf.)  And I also finally made a ribbed beanie-style hat to match.

19  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Knitting Moms - Cute Magazine Cardigan on: January 11, 2005 05:29:30 PM
Just wanted to say that there's a superadorable toddler cardigan on the cover of the February 2005 issue of Parents magazine, if some adventurous knitting moms are looking for ideas!

Actually, there are lots of cute knits inside for ideas for moms and kids.
20  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Suggest New Boards and New Features / New Swap Theme Archive? on: January 07, 2005 09:27:41 PM
Is there anything in the works for archiving new swap theme ideas when they've become an actual swap?  Maybe the swap organizer should "report to moderator" asking to have the thread moved to an archive folder, or move it themselves when they set up the actual swap? It's confusing to find an interesting swap theme idea only to find out from the swap folder that it's already closed and/or in progress.  Just wondering.   Smiley
