21  Re: Hot Pink Purse Swap--the pictures in The Swap Gallery by angelwing75 on: February 07, 2005 02:24:41 PM
I received a BEAUTIFUL bag from ctgirl today.  It is absolutely gorgeous and is just my style!  I am so jealous of her straight-sewing and embroidery skills!

Thank you so much, ctgirl!

Here's the lining.  This isn't a very good picture of it, but it's printed with adorable French street scenes.

22  How Do I Close This Clasp? in Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions by angelwing75 on: January 29, 2005 04:54:55 PM
How does this clasp close?  I'm confused.   Huh

Apparently the post office monster decided to take a giant bite out of my package from tigerEyes!  Gasp!  But luckily, the trusty USPS workers rescued the package from the jaws of the beast, wrapped its wound in plastic and sent it on its way.  Even better, all of the wonderful things tigerEyes sent me managed to survive the vicious attack unscathed (well, nearly - everything was covered in the fuzzy papery stuff that made the envelope cushiony).  Whew!

The can is covered in pretty turquoise paper with travel stickers around the bottom.  Sadly, it got smudges of the package filler on it, but I was able to wipe most of it away.

Here's what was inside:
 * A gorgeous and beautifully made ribbon zippered purse
 * A bag full of a zillion fabulous beads
 * Adorable beaded earrings
 * A little watercolor set
 * Martini stickers
 * Feathers
 * Shells
 * Ribbons
 * Felt squares
 * Marble magnets
 * A cool Catwoman card with a nice note inside
 * Beautifully dyed (with Kool-Aid!) fisherman wool yarn (in all my favorite colors!)

Here are the pictures:

And closeups of the earrings and magnets:

The gorgeous yarn:

And the zippered purse:

Thank you so much for everything, tigerEyes!  I'm so glad it was rescued from the jaws of death!!!

Yay!  I got my can from Krazigal today!  The can is decorated in super-cute yellow ribbon with pink polka dots.  Heres what was inside:

* Subway mints
* Lemon Pez (mmm, my favorite!)
* A soda bottle cap pin
* A foam and rhinestone pin
* A glass and rhinestone magnet
* A star magnet
* A yummy candy-looking bead bracelet
* A big sparkly bead bracelet
* Two gorgeous pairs of beaded earrings
* A Care Bears pencil
* A little teddy
* A rubber frog
* A beautiful rhinestone-covered tealight holder

Here are the pics:

And close-ups of the beautiful earrings!

I absolutely love everything!  Thank you so much, Erin!

Woooweee - I did another one.  I can't stop making this hat.  Ha ha!  This one is knit in Moda Dea Ricochet yarn, in the color called "Rock."

I think everyone should have a sassy pair of red shoes--even babies, so here are the ones I made for a friend of mine who's having a baby soon:

Those are too cute!  I just got some red yarn myself.  I'm going to put strawberry buttons on them.  Smiley  I used Bernat Softee Chunky for the cream-colored ones that I made.  It works pretty well for these and it feels so soft.

28  Knitting Moms - Cute Magazine Cardigan in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by angelwing75 on: January 11, 2005 05:29:30 PM
Just wanted to say that there's a superadorable toddler cardigan on the cover of the February 2005 issue of Parents magazine, if some adventurous knitting moms are looking for ideas!

Actually, there are lots of cute knits inside for ideas for moms and kids.

I also received a beautiful package from AngelWing today!  Everything was stunning!  Did you take pictures, Angel?  I don't have a camera.  I'd love to post pics of the everything!

Yay, I'm glad you got it!  I sent similar things to what I sent to ForevrBee, mostly just different colors (since I know you like pink!).  Here are the pics:

Here's the can.  I covered it in sticky-backed fabric paper, tied a ribbon around the top and stuck a flower pin through the lid.

Here are the contents...
* A 1950s Hopper postcard
* A pink version of the mini desk set like ForevrBee posted (for on-the-go crafting emergencies!)
* A pink crocheted wristlet/bag
* Two coordinating pieces of fabric for spontaneous crafting
* Pencils
* Hello Kitty stickers
* A pink pouch with belt loop on the back (my hubby calls it the "club wallet" so you can stick your ID and cash inside and loop it onto your belt without worrying about carrying a bag.  Ha ha!)
* 1950s-style magnets: pink and black stars and milkshakes and a Capitol record
* A fuzzy knitted and crocheted wrist cuff

I forgot to take a picture of your bracelet with the rest of the stuff, but you and ForevrBee have matching ones.  (I put yours in the pink pouch and forgot it was there!)  It's just a simple stretchy bracelet made from turquoise glass beads and seed beads.

I hope you enjoy everything and I'm glad it arrived safely!

Wow, ForevrBee...that was superfast!  I just left it on the porch for the postman on Saturday.

I didn't know if we were supposed to send the can as the packaging or decorate the can, so I just decorated it.  Smiley
