1  Baby Name Shadowbox in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by angelwing75 on: November 22, 2010 04:57:36 PM
Our friends are expecting a baby Beatrix this spring, so my husband and I made this shadowbox featuring her name.

We cut the letters and baby bee parts out of scrapbook paper and mounted it on leaf-textured paper with round popup foam stickers.  Then we added pretty flower-and-rhinestone scrapbooking stickers and bee buttons.

2  Baptism Invitation in Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies by angelwing75 on: September 08, 2009 05:31:10 PM
This is the invitation I made for my nephew's baptism.  I drilled a hole in the (real) shell, then attached a ribbon and a cross charm.  A note is attached to the back asking the recipient to save the shell to hang on their Christmas tree in remembrance of the baby's special day.

3  Baby's First Rosary in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by angelwing75 on: August 25, 2009 04:19:54 PM
I made this rosary for my nephew's upcoming baptism.  It was made using Swarovski crystal beads (the small ones are aquamarine, his birthstone), sterling silver round beads, a sterling silver rosary center and a platinum-plated cross.  It's personalized using sterling silver alphabet cubes with his initials.

4  Hollywood Baby Scrapbook Page in Scrapbooking: Completed Projects by angelwing75 on: July 29, 2009 09:09:13 PM
I just finished my  Undecided  first-ever  Undecided scrapbook page for my baby nephew.  His nickname is "Hollywood," so I tried a movie star theme.  The photos are printed on transparency to mimic movie cels, and the sparkly silver stars on the patterned paper show through.  It didn't show up well in this photo, but it's super sparkly in real life!

Here are some additional photos:

Rhinestone stars as dots on the i's in "introducing."

6  Simple Diaper Cake in Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies by angelwing75 on: March 13, 2009 10:28:31 PM
My SIL is having a baby tomorrow (yay!), so I made this diaper cake to welcome her and Baby Luke home.  It's pretty simple - just diapers and a musical giraffe toy topper - but it turned out really cute.  (Oh yeah, and there's a surprise for Mommy and Daddy in the middle - a big bottle of red wine!)

Thanks for your sweet comments, everyone!

Because we went crafty on other things, we just kept the centerpieces simple.  Our florist did an arrangement of yellow and white daisies to mimic the bouquets, then put them in plain vases with lemons and limes in the bottom (which you can't see in this picture).  Then we put the table name cards in a silver placecard holder.

8  Super Cute Suitcase Gift Basket in Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies by angelwing75 on: January 08, 2009 06:18:15 PM
I put together this gift "basket" for a friend's baby shower.  This doll-sized suitcase is filled to the brim and overflowing with lovely little lavender outfits.

I hosted this friend's bridal shower several years earlier and the theme of that shower was "world travel."  I thought it would be a cute sort of inside joke to make the baby gift a play on that same theme, so I designed it to look like baby was getting all ready to go travel the world.

Also, Mom's favorite color is purple, and since she had already received tons of pink outfits for her little girl, she was excited to see that all of the outfits were lavender.  Lavender is such a cute and easy alternative to pinks and yellows that moms typically receive.

Mom now uses the mini suitcase to store keepsakes.  When baby gets older, she can use it for her dolls or her own secret treasures!

9  Buttercup & Clover Summer Wedding in Weddings and Bridal Showers by angelwing75 on: January 08, 2009 05:15:14 PM
Here are some pics from our "buttercup and clover" summer wedding.

Our home-printed invitations were sent in petal envelopes from Paper Source.  Matching programs were printed on glossy paper.

Our "guestbook" was a bowl of gorgeous river rocks (from Target!) that our friends and family wrote love messages on with a silver Sharpie marker and then placed on a silver platter.

Our "placecards" were handmade pinwheels that were printed with each guest's name and placed in a "yard" of wheatgrass that we grew in our kitchen!  We hot-glued wooden picket fences around the yard and attached buttercup yellow bows.

Here's a closer view of a pinwheel:

Here's a closeup of the table name flag attached to the pinwheel:

Our cupcake stand was made of foam board, covered in clover cotton fabric and decorated with buttercup yellow grosgrain ribbon, which matched the colors of our bridesmaids' dresses.  We followed the instructions here.

Our favors were mini picnic baskets filled with candies, decorated with small squares of cotton gingham fabric, lovely green ribbon and home-printed "thank you" stickers.

10  Baby Boy Bouquet in Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies by angelwing75 on: January 08, 2009 07:20:41 AM
My SIL's baby shower is coming up in a couple of weeks, so I made this (The Baby Bunch-style) baby boy spring bouquet using faux flowers and baby onesies, pants and socks.  Yay for half-off silk flowers at Michaels!

It's been a long time since I posted, so it's nice to be back!
