1  Re: Post Photos of Your Tattoos! in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by nerdysocks on: January 13, 2008 08:37:17 PM
This is my second tattoo. They're Iris flowers dedicated to my mother who passed away in April 2003.

Sorry about the HUMAAANGOUS pictures.

This was taken after the second session (of three total). Colors are a bit off, the flowers are actually a darker purple, but it was still healing.

This was taken after the third and final session, colors are slightly closer, but just shows the details of the tattoo a bit more. It was only a few hours old, so my skin was still a bit welt-y in some places.

All in all this took 3 sessions and 8 hours total.
Tattooing done by Sean Karn at Fuzion Ink in Norfolk, VA.

I loveeeee it!

3  Re: 2 big plainshirts + Stencils + sewing machine... in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by nerdysocks on: October 03, 2004 09:11:05 AM
this is my first tutorial so bear with me..

start with your regular shirt..

then cut from shoulder to shoulder

take your 2nd shirt *with ugly stain at the bottom that you probally wont ever wear... *

Cut 2 strips..one fairly thickfor the bottom and a smaller one for the neckline

Take the smaller strip and turn it inside out

Pin it to the neckline that you cut

Sew.

Your shirt so far.

Take the thicker strip, turn it inside out,and pin it to the bottom of your shirt

Sew.

End result!

5  My first card :) in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by nerdysocks on: September 04, 2004 11:32:37 AM
Yesterday was a friend of mine's birthday and i'm broke Sad So i decided to make a super pretty card crafted with love!

It's cardstock paper with some fabric I had sewn on, then the white strip and ribbon is made from a t-shirt

Everyone loved it and all asked for a homemade card for their birthdays too *hooray* But this picture just doesn't do it justice. [I took the picture in the car on the way to my friend's house, maybe that's why : P]

*edit: You should post it when you're finished! I'd love to see your version of it

You saw nothing, you hear?! I am Dr. Evil! Fear me and my little pinky!

End.

Thank you thank you, you've been a wonderful audience!

Edit: Oh yeah, This is that snuggle shirt I was talking about. Haven't done the back yet, but i couldn't resist not posting.
