1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Hooded Sweatshirt into High Collar T-Shirt on: January 06, 2008 03:11:59 AM
from a sweatshirt I designed for my old short flags team (kind of like cheerleading)

along with a bandana (now lined on the inside of the collar) and some ribbing from an old vest, I managed to turn it into this:

Inspired by the great JOODITO.

2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Innertube Necklace on: December 24, 2007 10:19:32 PM

Inspired by miep's post (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=212312.0) regarding an inner tube piece (http://www.galerie-eewal.nl/html/kunstenaars/tolsma.html), and Christiane Diehl's work, with inspiration for a traditional boutonnière, I made this necklace for my final from 3D art class:

The necklace in action on its creator!

It's supposed to be worn a little higher, but this is the only picture my teacher took. Enjoy!

I was on the Purple Parrots team and he was on the Red Jaguars.
I wouldn't team up with him   Wink

Comments? I will be starting on the corsage soon.
5  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Build-a-Bear customization on: August 24, 2007 02:52:59 AM
I know many of you would be like.."EWW STOREBOUGHT!"

but I'm not that efficient with a sewing machine yet.

I bought a build-a-bear with all the essentials, and I had one goal in mind: to customize it to look exactly like my boyfriend (our anniversary is on saturday)

So I took a look at his personal style and favorite things, and did this:

let me know.
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / I stole my dad's peach colored shirt. on: August 10, 2007 01:29:25 PM
This is my first reconstruction:

So while thrifting through my dad's closet for some shirts, I found a very torn up peach colored shirt in the bottom row of his closet. Knowing he wouldn't miss it (he's out of the country right now) I wanted to make something.

let me know what you think  Grin
