This is awesome! I have to ask, though - does it ever catch on your hair? I have those really delicate and annoying hairs on the back of my neck, and I know I could never wear this necklace if it did.

It'd just stick to me like the band of my watch does, but nothing too bothersome.  Originally I wore it with my sweater with fur and my teacher told me to take it off so you could really see it. >,<

i saw the original post and consider the idea as well.  your necklace looks great!  what did your teacher think?  is it just cutting and tying or did it involve some sort of adhesive?

My teacher loved it. She was surprised to find that I was wearing my project instead of lugging it in like the rest of my classmates (who turned their items into statues, etc).  She took a second chance to examine the detail after class also..I hope I get an A >,<

As for the creation, I used tacky glue to give two layers, and just a simple needle and thread for the floral strips. It took a lot of elbow grease because threading through the rubber hurts the quality of the needle (I actually broke one trying to go through too many at once).
