Hey there! My band, Foreign Loren, is going to be releasing a split with the band Kapiano. I think we want to do this by hand, at least in terms of the packaging. Do you have any ideas for creative, inexpensive, lovely packaging?

Just throw ideas out here! I've love to hear anything and everything that pops into your mind!

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Organs T-Shirt on: November 15, 2007 04:17:22 PM
I am amazed! I really love it!

It reminds me of Emily Haines' (ahem, the lead singer from Metric who has a solo project) album "Knives Don't Have Your Back." Check out the album art if you ever have a chance to. It makes me love bones and organs haha

Hah! I really love how the shorts and vest turned out- he wears them well!

I love the stenciling! Where did you get the bird stencil, or did you draw it?

I need to stencil more.

CUTE! I have a huge urge to go buy felt and make some now. It's a rare rainy day here in san diego, so it's an excuse to craft!

8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / dress shirt thing! + how to make it! on: September 27, 2007 06:35:02 PM
So, I've recently found Burdastyle.com
and found these instructions on how to make a dress/shirt with no pattern- http://burdastyle.com/howto/show/65

and I did it! With the most gorgeous fabric I've ever seen (or close to it). I'm so happy!

It's a bit baggy, and the hem isn't even, but I wasn't going for perfection. It's kind of a thing where you do what fits best for you, so you can always bring it in easily, but I didn't.

I hope everyone else ventures into this project, too, as it's easy and fun!

10  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: IMG heavy- Shrink Plastic Pendants on: September 22, 2007 11:46:07 AM
This is so cool! When Ithink if shrinky dinks, I think of coloring on plastic and using it for nothing, like I did when I was little, but I really love this. You have inspired me!

I really love the owl one. Where did you get the graphic for it?

From here:
http://chrispottinger.tastysoil.com/drawings/drawings.html
It's full of amazing drawings.
This is okay since I don't sell them, correct?

Yeah, it should be fine. I don't think he'd find out anyway unless he's on craftster!

Thanks!
