I am teaching a jewelry project at the library next week for teenage girls. Usually I do a beaded project, but this time I decided that we would decoupage bangle bracelets. So, I got a bunch of plastic bangles and cut out hundreds of designs from magazines and wrapping paper.
This is the example I made. It was originally a green bracelet, but I covered it with bits of yellow magazine, and then I decoupaged post-it notes over it. I cut a long strip of paper and put it on the inside of the bracelet to cover up the raw edges.

Hello! This collage is based off the backdrop at the end of the movie Raise Your Voice.
The palm tree and black grid are connected, and then I cut out different colored squares of magazine and glued them behind the grid.

I get my license this week (well, go for my license), and I wanted something to put my license, keys, phone and money in without having to carry around an entire purse. I noticed a lot of people have these clutch sort of things, so I decided to make one too.

The spot for my license is really crooked, but my mom at first she thought it was supposed to be "op art-ish", so maybe I'll pretend that's the reason.

I'm not sure if this goes in this section, but it seems kind of purse/bag/wallet-ish.
Anyway, I get my license in two months, so I figured I'd make a fabric key chain, much better than the bead one I use now that I made when I was five.
I sewed the scraps onto a piece of ribbon and then sewed that around the key chain.

I originally started making this as a dress, but it also works as a shirt (and I think I like it better that way). It's based off of a somewhat similar dress a friend had bought.

Here are a few picture frames I've made. The first and the last ones I made the physical frame itself, out of cardboard.
The second one is a cardboard picture frame that I had that I just decorated.

I made this stationery a few years ago, and I don't really want to mail it to someone!
I taped off the sections I didn't want painted, sponged over it, and then peeled off the tape.
In the pictures, the note card is on top, and the front of the envelope is lying beneath it.

i used fabric shoes, not plastic, so the cut outs and mod podge didn't really stick to the shoe that well. to cover the gap between the two straps, i hot glued contact paper to connect them (the contact paper didn't stick either, so i figured out to use hot glue, which was ten times easier). then i just used mod podge and magazine cut outs to cover the shoes! i'm very happy with the way they came out. here are some close ups of the designs:

i take a jewelry and textiles class at school, and for one of our projects we had to weave something, so i decided to make a bag. i cut up strips of fabric and wove it with white ribbon. there was a section in the fashion show at our school that featured everything people in the class made, which was really cool.

the good thing with the fabric i used was that i didn't have to cut it straight or even at all; when i wove it, it ended up scrunching up wherever it was too wide.

i made this purse a few years ago from a bandana and macrame necklace i had. i didn't fold the bandana in any special way, but it ended up wiht pockets on the inside.

this was before i had my sewing machine so it's hand-sewn.
