1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Ongoing Holiday List Swap Round 9 Discussion and Gallery on: December 15, 2012 11:45:48 AM
Yay!! Sweetye, I am so glad you liked my package.... I was so upset over sending late! I've been pretty MIA in this swap which I absolutely hate, but two funerals in two weeks can't be predicted or avoided.... yeesh. Luckily, we're in a good spot now as a family and looking forward to a good Christmas, hopefully we can just continue to avoid catastrophe for a good long while yet.

So, without further ado, here are pics of the packages I have received that SO deserved to be totally bragged about!!

First of all from Lo, an amazing TOAST scarf!! I love love love it, I have wanted one for so long. I wasn't really wearing a good outfit for this pic, but it is super cute when I'm having a T-shirt and hoodie day at work, I have gotten sooo many compliments on it.

And here it is again on my pug, Cookie. Could there be any more cuteness in one picture? I think not.

She is so longsuffering.  Cheesy

Thank you Lo!!!!

...as for my second package, it was from LydiaHarper, and she sent me this super cute (and convenient and secretive, no more digging for things) wallet for girly things... I love the fabric and the snap! So cute.

AND a pair of Alabama earrings! My friend is going to love these, she collects elephant everything and is a 'Bama NUT (she's from there, stuck here in OK). I can already hear her scream: "Roll Tide!!"

Thank you guys so much, great packages.

I hate that I'm stalling it out! I added a few new things, I'll try to continue to add as I can

I claim lydia for one, if I have the time two, house zippered pouches.

2nd claim, 0 sent, 1 received

Hi, I'm Molly! I live in the heartland of the USA, Oklahoma with my husband and pug, Cookie. I am 27, and for the past year I have been lucky enough to work in my dream field and my dream job. I'm a set stylist assistant for the photography team for Hobby Lobby Corporate (who knew, an amazing Art Dpt. in Oklahoma?!?). My main mediums are sewing, jewelry making, bath and body/cp soapmaking, a little mixed media, stoneware clay handbuilding and a little crochet, which I hope to become motivated to improve on very soon. Smiley
Allergies: Smoke, and for the hubs only, cats.

Most Wanted- Gifts for people, anything that says 'for so and so'.

Sewing
*Purse for my mom, something similar to this http://tinyurl.com/cue4ptr, only I'd prefer wider straps and a magnetic closure. I would even happily send the fabric and the pattern. I have had this on my list to make her for ages, so if someone could make it look really great, I would be so grateful. If shipping the fabric is not an option, something with owls (sweet and Japanese over cutesy) for the exterior with different coordinating fabrics for the lining and binding would be ideal.

*Carry-all/roll for perle cotton for my mom. I don't embroider, so maybe someone who does would have a super idea of what's most convenient? She loves batiks, owls, purples, pinks, yellow, anything with this swirl shape http://tinyurl.com/auh5465, gnomes and nature themes with leaves.

*Fabric boxes/bowls and containers in my mom's themes/colors

*A feminine products wallet for my purse

Knitting/Crocheting
*Toast scarf w/or without butter for me Thanks Lo!
*Owl hat for my mom! Her head is a bit large. I can get measurements. She would love it brightly multicolored and high contrast with yellow as the main color. Huge poms on the end would be great.
http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/crochet-owl-hats
*Felted acorn and mushroom catchall for my mom. Up to 4 total. http://www.etsy.com/listing/62498695/felted-acorn-and-mushroom-catch-all
*Slouchy guy beanie for coworker. Charcoal gray, navy or deep olive green

Other Crafty
*Must. Build. shirt for my husband. If it also had images of tools underneath, that would be great. Blue is the best color for him. He's a medium unless the shirts run super huge, then a small. Stenciled or screenprinted, whatever's clever! Allergy: Cats
*Something like this on a shirt for a coworker he's a medium (tall if possible). http://tinyurl.com/bxup7v5
*Shirt for me that says Pugs not Drugs and a pug silhouette. I'm usually a Medium in Womens unless it is Junior's or they run small, then a large. I can send measurements if need be.
*((New)) Jewelry tree for my mom, something like this would be awesome!

*Dichroic glass pendant or earrings for my mom. Cobalt blue, teal, purple or white themes please.
*Earrings or necklace for a fanatical Alabama fan-- Elephants, houndstooth, crimson
*((NEW)) Hello Kitty ring or other jewelry for my SIL, something like this or a bow with sprinkles. Her fave colors are purple and black and rainbow.

Oh I am so sorry, I am out of town for a funeral. I am sure that its at my house, is there anyway we can count it received considering the circumstances?
5  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Ongoing Holiday List Swap Round 9 Discussion and Gallery on: November 14, 2012 04:49:01 AM
I'd like to go as long as possible, too.

lmcneil, if you're following this thread, maybe you could help us make a claim by adding some more specific gift requests.... we want to make sure we can really please!  Smiley

Oh I guess my main question was is it ok to have some requests that are not crafted, or do all the items need to be craftable
8  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Ongoing Holiday List Swap Round 9 Discussion and Gallery on: November 11, 2012 03:59:15 PM
Yay! I am super excited to join this swap. Quick question, are we allowed to list small stocking stuffer type requests that would be for supplies or non crafted items?

Ooh, I forgot to mention that in the first picture of the gifts still wrapped there are three cute little paper stars on one of the packages that were Christmas ornaments and are now on my tree!  Smiley
