Two AMAZING packages I'm finally posting pics on! Whew, I got behind this round. I should have known better than to think I'd get a moment's peace! A family house that I had storage in got broken into the week before Christmas, so I spent most of Christmas week that I had already taken off work (using my precious vacation time) to pack and move the rest of what I had there. Oh well! It's done now, and these packages were SO lovely to get, and did so much to cheer me up, I'm just sorry I'm so late in posting my appreciation pics.
From adrienne_bowers She claimed me for a jewelry surprise, and wow was I surprised and pleased!
Two bracelets (one a lovely spoon bracelet, I love spoon jewelry and this will coordinate nicely with my spoon rings!), a wonderful sculpy scene of irises against grass and a blue sky (masterfully done, I love it so much), and a candle tart with a necklace. Her note said to burn the candle, and I will find the charms to go on the necklace! How clever! I'm starting to burn it down today.
Thank you soo very much! I love it!
Then from Rox! Another package full of jewelry for gifts and myself..... haha.
She claimed me for a long drapey necklace, outdoing herself she sent two! One with a lovely small tree of life pendant out of a deep blue stone (which I love), the other with beautiful little iridescent teardrop crystals.
She also claimed me for anchor bracelets, she sent one red and one blue in a super cute chevron pattern! My good friend's birthday is coming up on the 19th, and I'm planning to give her one and keep one myself and include some poem or quote about her being my anchor. I'm so excited.
*YAY*! Watsonc (and Averia, lol ), I am sooo glad you liked the pillow covers, and even happier that they actually fit!! I always bite nails on those kinds of things. Yes, the trees are birch trees-- after seeing something similar on your pinterest, it struck me and I had to do it! It was time consuming, but I loved the result so much. Plus, it gave me a great gift idea for my mom who struggles with Seasonal Affect Disorder, I am making her kind of a winter time advent calendar/ wall hanging out of the wool with birch trees and pockets with numbers to put a happy little thing in each day. So it was totally worth it, and I had a blast making those pillows.
I am SO late with posting this! Averia sent me, not just any T-shirt, but she duplicated the pic I sent her EXACTLY! Only it was even better, because this shirt is so incredibly soft unlike the other one. My DH loved this shirt before he lost it, and he's so happy to have it again-- I gave it to him on Christmas Eve, and he was like "I'm going to wear it now!" He wore it Christmas Day, and another time already since!
Okay, I am SHAMEFULLY late in posting this, but I was punishing myself by not opening the box until I sent out my late claim to our ever so patient organizer! As soon as I join a swap everything falls apart... my boss quits (ack, we were already understaffed!!) and then I get the flu. Well, such is my life-- without any further adieu, the amazing Momof2! sent me not two, four or five but SIX jams/jellies in three flavors
Yummy!! My husband and I are usually low carb-- but I am mostly certain that an apple butter will sneak its way into my possession-- my favorite, ever.
The rest will find loving and exciting homes as stocking stuffers and in Christmas gift baskets-- I'm sure a Spiced Pear Jam will go to my dad, he loves that flavor!
Thanks again Momof2! and I am so sorry for the late love-- but it is certainly lots and lots of love.
Yay!! Sweetye, I am so glad you liked my package.... I was so upset over sending late! I've been pretty MIA in this swap which I absolutely hate, but two funerals in two weeks can't be predicted or avoided.... yeesh. Luckily, we're in a good spot now as a family and looking forward to a good Christmas, hopefully we can just continue to avoid catastrophe for a good long while yet.
So, without further ado, here are pics of the packages I have received that SO deserved to be totally bragged about!!
First of all from Lo, an amazing TOAST scarf!! I love love love it, I have wanted one for so long. I wasn't really wearing a good outfit for this pic, but it is super cute when I'm having a T-shirt and hoodie day at work, I have gotten sooo many compliments on it.
And here it is again on my pug, Cookie. Could there be any more cuteness in one picture? I think not.
She is so longsuffering.
Thank you Lo!!!!
...as for my second package, it was from LydiaHarper, and she sent me this super cute (and convenient and secretive, no more digging for things) wallet for girly things... I love the fabric and the snap! So cute.
AND a pair of Alabama earrings! My friend is going to love these, she collects elephant everything and is a 'Bama NUT (she's from there, stuck here in OK). I can already hear her scream: "Roll Tide!!"
I am so surprised that there haven't been more additions to the gallery since this morning! It is a crazy time of year and a Sunday which is usually a family day, so maybe this evening and tomorrow we'll get to see everyone's goodies.
I got home from church today and opened my fantastic package from lidehtium!
Here is the pic I took about a week ago of everything wrapped:
And the whole haul unwrapped!
A black cherry teacup candle (smells great), really fun (and SO in my colors!) dangly bracelet and earrings, and CHOCOLATE! As you can tell from the previous picture, the Eatmore is already MIA. I hadn't ever heard of an Eatmore or the Aero, what a novelty to have some unusual treats to try out! I just had a piece of the Aero which is a creamy chocolate and mint layered bar, the mint on the inside is full of little bubbles. It's really yummy, I have been craving chocolate and mint together lately, too!
The glittery fabric is a FABULOUS bolero she made me! It's a beautiful brown color with gold all through it. Btw, the gold is not at all too flashy, it's very glam. I love love love it! I'll have action shots to post sometime over the next couple days, you guys just have to see how it looks on, but the hubs is laying down right now. It fits and drapes perfectly, and forms these perfectly slouchy dolman type sleeves around my elbows.
Beautiful teacup candle, sadly the matching saucer broke in transit! Although it is still quite pretty and usable like this.
A closeup of the weave in the bolero/shrug
Thank you so much for everything Kristina, I feel quite smug and spoiled surrounded by goodies eating chocolate and wearing my lovely bolero! Thanks for sending such a wonderful package.
Finally posting pics, sorry it took me longer than I thought!
So when I came home earlier this week I had this super awesome Hello Kitty covered package!
....and found out that I am the excited new winner of Aisy's makeup kit!
She even covered the bottom of the altered tin in Hello Kitty! Love!
In my excitement I totally forgot to take a picture of the contents. A tinted lip balm and three eye shadows. I did, however, snap a shot of the tinted lip balm on.
I really really love the lip balm, it's hard for me to find shades that look good, and it's a nice coppery shade that is perfect. It's soft and moisturizing and even smells like mint and tingles! Thank you so much Aisy!
I love the pretty tree tote, happy tree hoop, beaded necklace and fingerless mitts-- such a pretty color, coiled bowl, purple scarf
I adore the contemplative dragon stuffie -- I usually don't care for stuffies, but she is adorable and I love her story, and the thought of her needing to be an 'angry dragon' at times is priceless!
Those are just some of my faves and I'm sure I'm leaving some out, the fun thing is that even the things that aren't 'me' persay I can think of someone they would be perfect as a gift for -- win win! Oh, and I wanted to say that even though I don't have a tart melter, I do really love candles!
I'm thinking about joining, I see that there are a few people offering soap, I'm trying to decide whether I'll do soap or something in glazed stoneware clay. I just finished a bunch of buttons (mostly 1" round) and some (small) acorn and tea pot spoon rests/trinket dishes. I also might do a combination---like 2 soaps a few sets of buttons and a spoon rest/trinket tray. Any thoughts or opinions?
