22  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Completed Projects / Re: Fiber Friday, July 16, 2010 on: July 19, 2010 07:25:48 AM
Oh my! You guys make me so sad that I don't have my spinning wheel.
Get a spindle!  I just started with one, and Im not very good yet, but its pretty cool!

Hey guys!  Does anyone know a link about 2 ply yarn?  I really want to experiment with that.  is it possible with just a spindle?
23  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Re: Endless Braid Bracelet?? on: July 15, 2010 08:19:38 AM
Cheesy I found instructions for the first time yesterday evening, how funny that you're asking this morning...

It's not completely endless, but i guess you could hide the one knot you need or use glue instead.
I found this too, and it was perfect!  Ive made 3 already!  Thanks so much for your help!
Im new to making handspun yarn, so everything is so knobby and inconsistent, but I thought some of these braclets might be a great way to use it up!  thanks!

Ok Craftsters, I need your help!  I've seen my friends wearing these sweet braided cuffs.  But there is no knot, no clasp, no nothing.  Its just a circle of braid.  Here's a picture of one:

I KNOW there has to be a ridiculously easy way of doing this, and Im sure I could figure it out with lots of stress and profanity, but I figured I'd see if any of you lovely people had already been through that  Wink

Thanks sooooooo much in advance!

27  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: My daughter now has pink hair **Img heave** on: April 05, 2010 04:55:30 AM
I know, I'm jealous of her gorgeous hair too.  I have dark hair and I don't want to lighten it to add color. Sad Her hair is a blonde but a little dark.  I used Raw colors and I can't remember the name of the pink we used but it's hot pink in the bottle.
I use Raw to dye some parts of mine, except i use fire red.  My brother didnt lighten his hair and it still tinted his.  Unless you have black hair, its worth a try i think!  Im so glad to see more people who love Raw like me and my brother!
