Do you use the yarn tails on every piece? Including muzzles? Or do you use heavy duty thread?
Do you sew them shut and attatch them on as door hinge joints? Or do you sew them on around the pieces?
Do you sew the whole thing or just at points to keep it on?
Do you just...sew them on, sewing through the yarn or only sew through the stitches?

1. I use yarn tails with every piece except for muzzles where I use thread.

2. I sew on using door hinge. Sometimes I sew them shut and sometimes not

3. I use the "V's" on the top of the single crochet as a guide

4. I sew through the stitches

How are the ideas coming?  I've got some good ones, but I have to figure out which ones to start with and how to go about crafting them  Smiley

Just a reminder to please post in this thread every once in a while so I know you're still here!

I have an idea for 2 things but it's still hazy at this point.

Hello all!

Friday will be here soon!  Just a reminder that if you haven't sent me your questionnaire, you've got two days left!  I will be out all day Friday and probably into the night, so I will do partners and send them out when I get back (which could be late, LOL).  So by Saturday morning, everyone will have a partner - yay!

I'm so excited to get started!  Grin

!!

I can't wait. I'm so impatient.

It's sooo cute!  I like yours better because I think the bottoms of mine are too big lol.  Where did you find the bigger wooden balls?  I couldn't find them ANYWHERE but my grandma picked some up for me in a rummage sale.

Pics from the party are here if anyone wants to see: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=246272.0

I got everything at AC Moores. I found the wooden balls in the wood section. The bottom of the balls are flat and I think they're called "doll heads." There are 2 sizes.

Anyone know of a pattern for a basket like that? It doesn't have to have the animal features just a similar baskets in the pics.

I applaud your patience! I tried to start many large blankets but never finish them.
30  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Magic Yarn Ball Swap Round 8: The Gallery on: May 16, 2008 06:24:35 AM
When I opened up my package, I got 2 yarn balls  Shocked and a few skeins of Red Heart Super Saver. Unfortunately I only have a pic of 1 ball:

It's square! Inside the ball:

A pattern book for making a tartan rug.

A Fun Fur rug Grin I LOVE IT! Whenever I walk over it, I pause and wiggle my toes in it Tongue Kudos for you, macreede for working with Fun Fur!

Inside:
Assorted yarn bobbins
2 special needles to weave in chains for the tartan rug
cell phone cozy
Washcloth with fancy stitch pattern
Tootsie Rolls
Washing ball thing (I forget the technical name)

Everything is great. Thanks macreede!
