304  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Re: FIRSTy: Old Clark's mules to White Mary Janes! [lotsa pics] on: July 26, 2007 12:25:29 AM
actually, it was kinda scary how easy they cut.  i dont even think it was a new blade!  I found it at the bottom of DHs toolbox!  Shocked

I figured as much as the shoes were new, the leather should have been a little thicker!  it was crazy to see that it was such a THIN layer of leather.

i am so excited about having found this site!  it has really reignited my creativity!  thanks all!

I took an Old pair of clarks mules...super comfy, not very hip.

Use a razor to cut out the toe and sanded them lightly.

White shoe polish

Cherry fabric turned into bias tape, buttons, and red trim!

the tones of her skin are stunning.  and the choices of colors for the hair are perfect.    I also am impressed by your strokes...they are airy and soft.

i love how her legs are crossed. I know that sounds odd, but its such a human thing to do.   It makes her seem so much more personal.  I like that choice you made.
Colors are fab, as well.
