that's an odd ball eye!  its not the photo, it really is amber colored.  I found in amongst the various bits and pieces of all the sewing things I inherited from my Nana!  It did have a match.

and thanks!
294  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / vintage daisy Pillow Case Skirt for ME! on: July 28, 2007 12:29:31 PM
 Grin

You know how comfy your bed is early in the morning. soft, well worn sheets.  you just want to stay in bed the rest of the day.

that is how comfortable my new skirt is. Made from 2 king size vintage pillow cases from Goodwill!  Its a 4 panel with ties to cinch in the waist, which creates a large pleat.   it flares just slightly at the bottom.

I am still wearing it.  I dont want to take it off.

p.s. my 7 year old was the photog.  not bad, ay?  i told her she has a future in fashion photography!

titled "Lizi"  (i know.  how boring)

image from another practice actually.  wanted to see if coloring book images work.  guess what!? they do!  and even the scribbles of crayon stayed on the image (though I think most were edited from the area  i used.)

fabric with felt backing. machine stitched.

makes me smile.

i am in love with the bias tape hem.

at first i thought the black band was like a "belly band" (stretchy knit waist band).   That would have been cute too.   made me want to try it!

what pattern did you use?

300  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / FIRST ATC! kind of my accident..Western theme on: July 27, 2007 10:47:07 AM
so i read about the packing tape image transfer and wanted to try it.  grabbed the first mag i had laying around...my New Mexico mag.  my birthparents gave me the subscription for the first xmas gift since i was reunited with them last year.
so, while i am not normally into western art, i wanted to do something with my image!
So, its titled   First Home.   and not sure I'll ever be able to trade it! HA!

Its painted felt and fabric. Machine sewn.
